Cedar Inn

We had a recent stay at the Cedar Inn, overall the stay was very good.Pros:- Great Service. Attitude of staff and quickness of service was amazing.- Rooms were quite well equipped with most facilities.- The shuttle service to and fro to the main city is super helpful and the drivers are super good.- Property is well maintained and the breakfast was decent.Cons:- No gym at all. The spa was closed.- While the location is pretty, it's tough to reach from the main city (you need to get a cab) if you're outside the shuttle service hours.- The beautiful views promised from the room are almost never visible because of the current day pollution, unfortunately. The weather was quite sunny but we couldn't see the mountains from our rooms. Not the property's fault, just something to keep in mind if you raise your expectations about the views.

Stayed at Cedar Inn last week. Hands down best hotel that I've stayed in. Courteous staff. Clean and tastefully designed rooms with arguably the best view of the snowy peaks from Darjeeling. Wonderful buffet spread for breakfast and dinner. Suffice to say the chefs here know their craft. The restaurant staff were very helpful. Offered to pack snacks for my little one without even my asking. Free shuttle service to the market is a bonus. The Observatory Suite is the best choice of room with a unbeatable view. The only downside to the room is the absence of a lift.

My friend injured their knee during the trip, and everyone was incredibly supportive, ensuring we had all the help we needed.The views are absolutely breathtaking, we could see snow capped mountains right from our bed. Cedar Inn is a rare find in Darjeeling. Unlike many hotels crammed into the congested main market, this property offers a peaceful retreat with arguably the best views of the Kanchenjunga range in the area. Its location allows for a beautiful lawn overlooking the mountains’a luxury in this hill station.The Room Experience: We stayed in a Suite during late December. The view from our bedroom was simply spectacular and worth the stay alone. The rooms feature a cozy wood-cabin finish; while the suite layout felt a bit compact, the vista outside more than made up for it.Pro Tip: The rooms use heated bed sheets which provided excellent warmth for a good night's rest on the medium-firm mattress.Note: While the bathrooms are clean with great hot water, the toiletries are basic’I’d suggest bringing your own if you prefer premium brands.Exceptional Hospitality: The service here is personal and heartfelt. General Manager Sanjay Nangia sets a high standard, personally attending to guests to ensure comfort. Praveesh, the F&B Manager, was equally outstanding, offering invaluable local tips on sightseeing and travel.Dining: We opted for the ?? la carte dinner during our 4-day stay. The food is decent, well-prepared, and reasonably priced. It’s a great convenience if you want to avoid the trek back into the busy bazaar for every meal.Highly recommended for those who prioritize views, peace, and genuine hospitality!
