Gibbon Backpackers Hostel

Avoid this place. It's one of the worst hotels; every room is infested with bed bugs. After I raised a complaint, they moved me to several different rooms during the night, and I saw bed bugs crawling in groups everywhere, like ants. Bed bugs were present in every corner.

Warning warning warning warning warning Do not book this hostel stay.. We were a group of 10 friends staying for one night.. and it turned out to be one of the longest nights.. no sleep at all, not even a moment.. the pain I describe here is just a small part of a huge problem... Bedbugs made the night terrible.. first, they didn’t provide all 10 beds, I had to sleep on the floor and was given a blanket to lie on.. within minutes I started scratching all over, at first I thought it was an allergy but when I used my phone torch.. I saw the real culprits.. so many bedbugs crawling on that blanket.. I couldn’t sleep, just wandered around and rested on a shabby sofa in the common area.. The room was cramped for 9 people.. it felt suffocating and the room was filthy.. poor sanitation and cleanliness in the only washroom for 9 people.. Please never come to this place again.. or you will go through the worst time of your life.. Terrible!! disgusting!! awful!! cheap!! Do not come here please

The room was very dirty and not clean at all. The bed sheets and the room had a bad smell.

This is one of the worst hostels I've ever experienced. Avoid staying here. The dorm was infested with bed bugs—it's hard to describe how terrible it was. I couldn't get any sleep and ended up with an allergic reaction and bites all over. Bed bugs can also hitch a ride in your bags and come home with you, so be cautious. When I told the staff about the problem, they didn't take it seriously and joked about my blood type like it was nothing. The pillows and beds were dusty, and the cleanliness was very poor. Even though I booked an AC dorm, I couldn't sleep there and had to sleep on the reception floor because it felt safer. At minimum, they should clean the pillows and sheets. They charge guests but don't provide basic hygiene or care. I wouldn't recommend this hostel to anyone.

There is no power backup and even no cleanliness worst hostel ever.....
