Gokulam Park Sabari

My overall experience with Gokulam Park Sabari has been extremely disappointing. During my first stay from 24th to 26th November 2025, I faced several issues, including a delayed check’in even though I actually arrived a day later than my booking. Basic amenities like bath towels were not provided on time, and the electric kettle in the room was broken and dirty.Despite this, I decided to give the hotel another chance and booked a longer family stay from 17th to 21st January 2026. Unfortunately, things were even worse this time. When we arrived at 1:30 PM’well ahead of the official check’in time’the room still wasn’t ready. The receptionist repeatedly gave a cold and unhelpful ’5 min please,’ and even after returning from lunch an hour and a half later, we still had to wait because she was on her mobile phone and couldn’t locate the room key.Since we were a family of three, I paid for an extra bed, yet the room amenities were always arranged only for two people. It seemed like common sense that toiletries, towels, and water bottles should be provided for three guests, but I had to request additional towels every single day, sometimes up to four times before they were delivered. The electric kettle was once again broken and filled with dirty water, and based on my experience with the towels, I didn’t even bother asking for a replacement, even though my wife needed hot water.I also had to extend my stay by one day and informed the receptionist in advance on the very first day. She said no formalities were needed, but I didn’t fully trust that, so I reminded them again on the extension day. A housekeeping staff member sitting at reception abruptly dismissed my explanation, first claiming he didn’t understand English and then Hindi. After I repeated myself several times and even showed my Agoda confirmation email, he still insisted no rooms were available without checking the system. Only after multiple attempts did he finally understand, which clearly highlighted their lack of proper coordination and extremely unprofessional customer handling.The checkout was just as frustrating. Despite settling my food bill a day earlier, I was made to wait about 25 minutes after handing over the room key. Again, I heard the same line’’5 min please’’with no real explanation. Only after repeated questioning did another staff member try to justify the delay by saying they were making sure we hadn’t forgotten anything. A great cover up. The food was overpriced and not worth the high charges. In the end, I left firmly deciding never to return. I could only give one star for amenities and customer service, and the only positive aspect was the location and the helpful housekeeping staff. I’ll be choosing hotels like Ginger in the future, as Gokulam Park Sabari failed to provide even basic customer friendliness.

This hotel offers a very pleasant stay with its lovely ambiance. The location just outside the city provides a peaceful retreat. Considering the quality of the accommodations, it truly represents excellent value for money. Everything was kept impeccably clean and neat, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. Furthermore, the staff members were consistently polite and helpful throughout my visit.

I stayed at GOKULAM PARK SABARI, Chennai for four days, and while there were a few positives, the overall experience was quite underwhelming.The in-room service was good ’ staff provided whatever we needed on time, and the room itself was spacious and clean, which has to be appreciated.However, the bathroom condition was extremely disappointing. The fittings like taps and sink were too old and covered with limescale. The shower and tap didn’t work properly and the water supply was inconsistent throughout our stay. Despite raising a complaint multiple times, no one bothered to fix it, which was very frustrating and unacceptable for a hotel of this level.We had breakfast twice, and sadly, that too was not up to the mark. The live dosa counter was terribly managed ’ the chef was slow to respond and didn’t take our requests properly. Most of the food items were served cold, which really spoiled the experience.Another major inconvenience was communication. Being located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, we expected staff to know Tamil or at least be fluent in English. But none of the staff we interacted with were fluent in Tamil, and even the receptionist struggled with English. This made communication very difficult, especially for senior citizens traveling with us.Overall, the hotel seriously needs improvement in maintenance, food quality, and staff communication. Not a stay I would recommend unless these issues are addressed.

During my stay, I found the overall experience satisfactory; however, a few areas could be improved. The bathroom facilities require attention: the toilet fittings are outdated, the washbasin tap lever came off during use, and the bath shower setup did not function properly.Additionally, the standard check-in time of 2 PM can be inconvenient for travelers arriving earlier in the day, as they may have to wait several hours before their rooms are ready. Offering flexible or early check-in options would enhance guest convenience.Addressing these issues would significantly improve the overall guest experience.
