We checked in at around 11:00 PM. I called the hotel attendant to turn on the AC and waited for some time for the room to cool down, but the room remained hot. At first, I thought the weather might be unusually warm and that the room would cool after a while, but the AC never worked properly.We were extremely tired, so we eventually fell asleep. During the night, my wife felt very uncomfortable because even the fan was blowing warm air. Somehow, we managed to get through the night and checked out at 8:00 AM, next morning.In the end, we paid ’2100 for what effectively felt like a non-AC room for 9 hours.

Charming Heritage Stay

Beautiful heritage property once owned by Atul Prasad Sen, the famous Bengali musician. Every item on the premises is an antique. I loved the ambience which gives one vibe by day and another under the night lights.Location is excellent, almost everything is nearby, and battery rickshaws and Vikrams are readily available outside the gate of the premises. At 1.5 km from Lucknow railway station, the place exudes history.Service and staff are very good. The team’s customer’centric behavior makes you feel comfortable and lets you enjoy your stay. Food is tasty, with good quality and quantity.Rooms are big and spacious, with all basic amenities. Mr. Basak, the manager, and his team go one step beyond to ensure guest comfort which is truly appreciable.The only drawback is cleanliness, which spoiled the experience. Bedside lamps and ceiling fans had layers of dust, as if not cleaned for years. Bathroom tiles have brownish stains all over, especially on the lower ones, as if cleaners don’t bend down to scrub them. A few doors need repair, gaps are visible even when locked. The WC flushes slowly, and the shower button doesn’t stay pressed, so you have to hold it to keep water flowing. Repairs would fix these issues, but cleanliness needs urgent attention, it’s hurting the overall experience. I request the management to address it immediately and online ratings will rise automatically once this is done.I recommend everyone reading my review to experience at least one night in this heritage property and enjoy the luxury and richness of Indian culture available at every corner of the house. Would Love to.change this rating to 5 star in my next visit to them.

The Heritage Hotel at AP Sen Road, Charbagh is truly one of the best hotels in Lucknow, especially for hosting family functions and weddings. Its location is a big advantage, as it is very close to Charbagh Railway Station, making it extremely convenient for guests traveling from outside the city.I had my marriage at this hotel, and I must say that the entire experience was outstanding. The property has around 38 well-maintained rooms along with a spacious banquet hall and a beautiful lawn, which makes it a perfect venue for weddings and other celebrations. The arrangements were excellent and very well managed from start to finish.The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-organized, ensuring a pleasant stay for all our guests. The hall and lawn were decorated beautifully, and the overall ambiance added a special charm to our wedding functions. Everything was handled smoothly and professionally.The staff deserves special appreciation. They were extremely polite, cooperative, and always available to help with a smile. From small requests to major arrangements, the team ensured that everything was taken care of without any hassle. Their hospitality truly made us feel relaxed and confident throughout the event.I would especially like to thank Santosh ji, the Chief Manager, for his exceptional support and guidance. From booking to execution, he personally ensured that all arrangements were done perfectly.
