Hotel Modern Palace

Our stay at Hotel Modern Palace in Khatu was very disappointing and did not meet our expectations. The room was not clean or hygienic, with insects, mosquitoes, lizards, and bedbugs present, making it uncomfortable and unsafe. The surrounding area had overgrown bushes, likely contributing to the insect issue. There was no proper room cleaning or hot water available. The male receptionist was extremely rude and disrespectful, especially compared to a helpful female staff member earlier. When we raised concerns about the room, he dismissed them and told us to stay or leave as we wished. He also arrogantly said that posting reviews would not affect them. This behavior is unacceptable for paying guests. We had come to Khatu for Khatu Shyam Ji darshan expecting a peaceful stay, but the poor hygiene, pests, lack of hot water and cleaning, and rude staff ruined our experience. The food quality was also very poor and unhygienic, which was very disappointing. I plan to file a complaint with the Food Safety Department to investigate. Overall, this was one of our worst hotel experiences, and we do not recommend this hotel to pilgrims, families, or travelers.

One of the best hotel experiences I've had so far. I stayed for just one day and was impressed by the fast service, clean rooms, and excellent hospitality. This premium hotel in the city offered an outstanding and unique experience. A memorable moment: I left my purse at the hotel, and to my surprise, the reception called me about it. They kept all my belongings safe and even packed my purse carefully in a box as I requested, then shipped it to my address in Kanpur with genuine care and a big smile. This incident amazed me, and the staff's solution turned a potentially bad trip into a grateful and kind experience. I plan to visit again soon and am happy to share this story. Five stars aren't enough to rate my stay, but since Google only allows five, that's what I gave. Jai Shree Shyam, and thank you, Hotel Modern Palace. See you soon.
