The Magnet Hotel is a solid mid-range option in Kannur. The rooms are modern and very clean, though a bit small if you have a lot of luggage. The location is peaceful, but keep in mind it is a short drive away from the main town center and the beach. Service is generally friendly, though room service can be a little slow at times.’The breakfast buffet is okay’mostly South Indian dishes like idli and dosa. The food tastes fresh and "homely," but the variety is limited if you stay for more than a couple of days. It can also get quite crowded during peak morning hours.’Overall, it’s a good, reliable choice for a business trip or a quick stopover, but don't expect a luxury resort experience.

I have been to Kannur for the first time. My impression about Kannur people, as per media was: they are aggressive and murderous. Having interacted with the people here , my impression is completely different. They are generous, honest and very helpful. The staff of Hotel Magnet at the reception and service are polite and friendly. They will go bout of way to help visitors. The rooms are quite good, spacious. I have taken only a breakfast. It’s good.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. The rooms were very clean and the staff were very friendly. The were limited international foods at breakfast as you might expect but the fresh omlettes were great for the fussy eaters in our group. The lunch at the restaurant was good too.
