A peaceful retreat with great potential!’ Location: Truly the highlight of this property. It is located beautifully on Munroe Island, offering easy access to the stunning backwaters, local boating points, and peaceful nature walks. If you are looking to escape the city noise, this is a fantastic spot.’ Rooms: The rooms (especially the suites) are quite spacious, clean, and modern with nice balconies overlooking the garden. They come equipped with good AC, comfortable bedding, a flat-screen TV, and tea/coffee makers.’ Food & Dining: They have an on-site family restaurant serving solid Indian and local cuisine. The breakfast options were great, though the pricing for dinner can be a bit on the higher side compared to local spots.’ Service: The front desk staff was welcoming, but service can occasionally feel a bit slow or understaffed during peak hours.Pros: Excellent location, spacious and clean rooms, free private parking, and beautiful green surroundings.Cons: Service can sometimes be hit-or-miss; slightly difficult to reach via public transport, so private vehicle/cab is recommended.

Breakfast choices were excellent, though dinner prices are somewhat higher than nearby local eateries. Pros include a fantastic location, spacious and tidy rooms, free private parking, and lovely green surroundings. Cons are that service can be inconsistent and the place is a bit hard to reach by public transport, so using a private vehicle or cab is advisable.

We were a group of six (three couples, all 70+) taking a short break at this resort on Munroe Island, recommended by friends.The property is truly beautiful, with well-maintained surroundings. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and thoughtfully furnished, making our stay very pleasant.Given the location by the Kallada River and Ashtamudi Lake, we expected a wider variety of fresh local fish’ (though we did enjoy pearl spot and prawns on the second day. :)A special mention goes to Arathy and Shibin at reception, and Sunanda, Abhijith, and the restaurant team for their dedicated and warm service.Keep it up, Team Maryalayam!

It's quite beautiful hotel near Munro island. Service was exceptional and with abundant parking space available. Ayurvedic centers are available and connected to mariayalam hotel (they arrange local transportation for up and down with little changes). Overall. Highly recommend for visiting Munro island stay.

Our group of six (three couples, all over 70) took a short getaway to this resort on Munroe Island, recommended by friends. The property is genuinely lovely, with well-kept grounds. The rooms were cozy, clean, and nicely furnished, which made our stay very enjoyable. Being located by the Kallada River and Ashtamudi Lake, we had hoped for a broader selection of fresh local fish, though we did appreciate the pearl spot and prawns on the second day. Special thanks to Arathy and Shibin at reception, along with Sunanda, Abhijith, and the restaurant staff for their attentive and friendly service. Keep up the great work, Team Maryalayam!
