Raahi Backpacker Hostel

Raahi has a wonderful atmosphere and the property is fantastic. Everything was spotless and well-kept, with charming interiors. It was my mother's first hostel stay, and she really enjoyed it as well! Thanks for such a memorable experience. I strongly recommend this place✨

Raahi Backpackers Udaipur does not deserve even one star; I wish I could give negative stars. I booked a private room for one night via MakeMyTrip for about ₹1,300, expecting basic hospitality, but this was among the worst hotel experiences I've had. There were no free amenities like water bottles, soap, toothpaste, or toothbrushes. The Wi-Fi was non-functional, adding to the inconvenience. The air conditioner in my room leaked water constantly, and instead of fixing it, staff just put a bucket inside to catch the drips. The toilet was unhygienic, with water rising near the top after flushing, suggesting blocked drainage. My room, Sajangarh, was on the second floor; I had a heavy suitcase and asked for help, but was told it was "self-service" and had to carry it myself, with only minimal assistance after struggling. At checkout, although the time was 10:00 AM, staff knocked at 9:30 AM to remind me to leave. When I asked for help with luggage again, they said I had to carry it downstairs myself. I was told at check-in that luggage could be stored after checkout for city exploration, but at checkout they suddenly charged ₹50 per bag, which should have been disclosed earlier. When I complained, staff and the owner said, "This is a hostel, our policies are different," but being a hostel is no excuse for poor hygiene, rude behavior, misleading info, or lack of basic hospitality. Overall, the staff was rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional; facilities were poor, hygiene unacceptable, and service not worth the price. I will never stay here again and do not recommend this place to anyone seeking a comfortable or hassle-free stay in Udaipur.

My stay at Rahi Backpacker in Udaipur was fantastic. The place was clean, calm, and cozy, giving a homely vibe. What stood out the most was the owner's kind and welcoming nature. They were modest, supportive, and ensured I felt at ease during my entire visit.
