Great stay! Clean rooms, friendly staff, and excellent service. Had a comfortable and pleasant experience. Highly recommended!
First, the road to the property is in horrible condition. It is very steep and there are no signboards or street lights, at least near the property.The TV doesn't work and there is nothing to keep us entertained. The games shown on the website and in the images are not even available at the resort.The Wi-Fi doesn't work properly and there is no mobile network to use our data.There were three power cuts at night. There is no night light or bedroom light, either we have to sleep in complete darkness or switch on one switch and all the lights turn on.The food is overpriced and the fireplace costs more than Rs. 1,000.There is no doormat, not even one. There is only one switchboard for us to use in the entire room.There is no instruction manual or contact number for the reception, so we have to go to the reception every time we need something.It is a pet-friendly place and most of the guests have pets, but not every pet is people-friendly. We cannot walk or do anything freely on the lawn.Overall, it is not at all worth the money we paid. It is not a small amount for one night, as we are not rich enough to just let it go. We spent more than Rs. 3.8k one one night for a basic room to experience the resort, and it was our worst stay ever without proper amenities or cleanliness inside the room.The things I wrote about are all basic necessities that anyone would need or expect from a place they are paying to stay.We stayed for 2 days previously for half the price, and all the things that were missing here were available there.Never go by reviews, as most of them are from other 4 rooms with garden view, they may be good, and I belive most of the reviews are not genuine.
Simply superb! We had an excellent stay at Sherlock Homes. The location, ambience, beautiful garden and rooms were all superb. The property has a wonderful heritage feel and is surrounded by greenery, making it a very peaceful and relaxing place to stay.The food was excellent, and the staff were warm and helpful throughout our stay. Our little one especially enjoyed playing in the garden.Overall, it was one of the highlights of our Ooty trip. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely love to come back again. Highly recommended!
