1.The rooms are good for those on a low budget. 2. The staff is helpful; I caught a cold during the night and faced a lot of trouble, but the staff assisted me and brought me medicine.3.The main issue is finding an auto or taxi from this location is not easy. 4. There is no fan in the room.5.The bathroom tiles are broken.

We booked JB Cottage for our three-day trip to Ooty. Very budget-friendly, yet so clean and well-maintained room. The caretaker was kind and it felt like home. If you're looking for a budget-friendly, calm place to unwind, JB cottage will be perfect—A very good example for "Happiness and satisfaction does not mean Lavish luxury always".

A group of six of us stayed at JB Cottage from September 13 to 14 for one night. We had made the booking in advance for five people. At the last moment, one additional person joined us, so we informed the host about the additional guest. We were asked to pay an additional charge for the extra person, which we did.Despite this, we faced the following issues during our stay:1. No extra pillow or blanket: Although we paid the additional charge for the extra guest, we did not receive an extra pillow or blanket.2. Basic facilities were not properly maintained: The basic facilities at the cottage were not well maintained and did not meet reasonable expectations.3.Insufficient towels and sanitary items: Only two towels were provided for six people. Basic sanitary and toiletry items were also not adequately provided.4. Exhaust fan in the restroom was not working: The exhaust fan in one of the restrooms in our allocated room was not working, which made it uncomfortable to use the restroom. We informed the person in charge about the issue, but the response we received was dismissive and did not address the problem properly.5. Poorly installed curtain holder and damage issue: The anchors holding the window curtain rod were not properly installed. While using the curtain, the rod fell onto the glass slab installed below the TV. We immediately highlighted the issue to the host. However, the host asked us to pay for the damage. We had to explain repeatedly that the incident occurred due to improper installation and poor maintenance of the curtain holder, rather than due to any negligence on our part.6. No proper drinking water facility: There was no proper drinking water facility available. We were informed that the water from the overhead tank could be used for drinking purposes. However, the same water supply is used for other common purposes as well, and we were not confident about the cleanliness or maintenance of the water facility. Providing safe and proper drinking water should be a basic facility at any accommodation.Overall, considering that we paid for the additional guest and expected the basic facilities to be properly maintained, the experience was disappointing. We hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves the maintenance and basic facilities for future guests.
