I booked two rooms at Hotel Pioneer through Agoda on 12 August 2026 for 10 October 2026, and my booking was confirmed. However, when I arrived at the hotel with my family, the reception told me that our booking had been made at a lower price and that they could not provide us with the rooms. They also claimed that they do not accept bookings through Agoda and only accept bookings through OYO.I had to spend almost an hour arguing with the hotel staff while my family waited, which caused us a lot of stress and inconvenience. Eventually, I was forced to pay an additional 1,000 just to get the rooms. Even after paying extra, we were given an old and poorly maintained room.This was a very disappointing and frustrating experience, especially because I was travelling with my family and had a confirmed booking. It is unacceptable for a hotel to refuse a confirmed reservation upon arrival and demand extra money from guests.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. I hope Agoda and the hotel management look into this matter and take appropriate action so that other customers do not have to face the same situation.

Very Bad Experience with Hotel Pioneer – Booking Through Agoda

I booked this hotel during 26th Jan weekend, so prices were high otherwise the view from common area and room was awesome. Service was good.Overall it was nice.Few points:- No kettle in room, so you would need to call the kitchen for hot water, they will provide you thermus- Food prices are very reasonable - it’s a 100-150m walk from mall road, opposite dominos
