I had a very disappointing stay at Super Townhouse MG Road Near Commercial Street, Bengaluru. I booked this property for two nights with my family, trusting that we would have a pleasant and comfortable stay, but unfortunately the experience was extremely unpleasant from start to finish. The room was poorly maintained and did not feel hygienic. As soon as we entered, there was a strong smoking smell throughout the room even though we expected a non-smoking room. The bedspreads and overall room condition did not appear clean, and the bathroom hygiene was also below acceptable standards. This made our family very uncomfortable during the stay. Another major issue was that the pictures shown on the booking platform were completely misleading and did not match the actual condition of the hotel. It honestly felt like those photos were taken when the hotel first opened many years ago. The real condition of the property was far worse than what was advertised online. What made the experience worse was the attitude of the front desk staff. They were unhelpful, rude, and showed no interest in resolving guest concerns properly. At one point, comments were made in Hindi about my family members, which made us feel very uncomfortable and disrespected. Since I was with family, I chose not to argue further. After raising complaints through ixigo, the receptionist claimed he came to resolve the issue, but instead he simply knocked on the room while we were outside, recorded a video, and later used that as an excuse to avoid helping us. We were even asked to provide “proof” of the smoking smell and poor cleanliness, which was frustrating and highly unprofessional. Additionally, in Room 206, the fan and TV were not working properly. By that point, we were already exhausted from repeatedly complaining and no longer wanted to interact with the staff. Throughout the stay, we never felt welcomed or respected as guests. The atmosphere and staff behavior made my family, especially the women traveling with me, feel unsafe and uncomfortable. Because customers trust the hotel and booking platform expecting a pleasant and peaceful stay, experiences like this are extremely disappointing and stressful for families. For the price charged, this property did not meet even basic hospitality standards. I strongly suggest future travelers, especially families, carefully consider before booking this hotel. I also request booking platforms to verify such properties properly before listing them. Finally, to the hotel management: if proper training and professional behavior are not maintained among staff members, serious customer complaints may eventually lead to bigger legal or police-related issues in the future. Customer safety, respect, and hospitality should never be ignored, because we are trusting you.
