The service was the worst I've ever experienced. Initially, they said they would provide rooms for locals, but when we arrived, they said they couldn't offer rooms. Also, we were only females and left another place based on their assurance. This is the worst hotel; do not visit.

Beautiful setting. Went there for lunch. The food was tasty.

Among the top hotels in Srinagar, this place provides stunning views of Dal Lake and the nearby scenery. The Golden Dragon restaurant is highly recommended, known for its excellent Chinese dishes. Starting the day with breakfast while gazing at the peaceful Dal Lake was ideal. A memorable experience with excellent service and remarkable vistas.

A Stunning Property with Great Potential, Hindered by Uneven Service Pros: • Amazing Views & Spacious Rooms: The property's views are truly stunning and among its top highlights. The rooms are roomy, cozy, and perfect for unwinding. • Food: The meals are reliably good, and the breakfast selection is very enjoyable. • Facilities: The infinity pool is lovely and provides a nice place to relax while enjoying the scenery. • Staff: Most staff members are friendly and welcoming during the stay. Cons: • Very Poor Checkout Experience: Despite most staff being pleasant, the checkout revealed a troubling double standard. One staff member treated me with a condescending, superior attitude, over-explaining simple things as if I lacked understanding. The contrast was clear: in front of the next guest, this person was smiling, bowing deeply, and showing exaggerated respect, but when dealing with me, their expression turned cold and annoyed. After I paid by card, there was no communication—no receipt confirmation, no thanks, and no courtesy to wait until my taxi arrived. Instead, the staff member immediately buried himself in paperwork, leaving me unsure if the transaction was complete. Even now, I have not received a digital receipt, nor was I offered a printed one. After a long silence, he finally looked up with a hostile look, as if questioning why I was still there. When I asked if we were done, he replied flatly, "Yes." This felt like a deliberate dismissal possibly rooted in bias related to ethnicity or background. • Limited Amenities: For a property of this level, the facilities are surprisingly sparse. The infinity pool is beautiful but small, suitable for lounging but not swimming. • Insufficient Pool Seating: Outdoor seating by the pool is very limited. Only two seats have umbrellas, and they are almost always taken. The rest have no shade, leaving guests exposed to the sun. • Lack of On-Site Activities: There is very little to do on the property. No walking paths or trails exist. While there is an outdoor restaurant area for coffee, options are basically limited to that or leaving the hotel. Suggestions: • Improve the Grounds: Adding simple outdoor activities like a walking trail, meditation area, or small labyrinth would enhance the guest experience and encourage enjoying the property. • Address Staff Bias: Management must confront the biases and double standards shown by front-line staff. When staff act superior and discriminate based on ethnicity or background, it goes beyond customer service issues. Such individuals should not work in guest-facing roles where respect and dignity are essential. Though the property's grandeur suggested a four- or five-star rating, the poor checkout attitude shattered that impression, making a two-star rating more accurate, with a generous three-star at best.
