Amritara The Poovath Beachfront Heritage

Bad experience. There was construction happening, making it difficult to stay here. Amritara should reconsider before acquiring any property. The hotel is under renovation, with dust and an unpleasant environment everywhere, making it uncomfortable and not suitable for our stay. Also, the shower in our bathroom was leaking, and we found a cockroach in the bathroom, which is totally unacceptable for cleanliness and hospitality.

Go elsewhere! Good location to visit Kochi but don't bother with a standard room there, mine was upstairs, don't trust the pictures. The description of the room on both, their site and hotels.com mention a TV, not true. Super hard mattress, small room, the bathroom has a ventilator opened to the outside, it's just as hot as outside, the mosquitoes can get in as well. OMG, the sound of the fridge is just unreal, a loud buzzing annoying sound, have a good night!! The staffing was doing what they could but it is definitely so so, some really relinquish the AC office a lot, if needed, no one was around. The beach is right there, loud bollywood music can be a bit annoying at times. But, I thought the chef was quite good for what I ate! Attention, cooking gaz restriction ! Not much to cook though!! For the same amount of money, a better place can be found. I agree with other disappointing reviews as well, I would not recommend it for the money they are asking for it.

The beach is nearby, but the loud Bollywood music can be irritating at times. On the plus side, the chef was good based on what I ate, though cooking options are limited due to gas restrictions. For the price, you can find better accommodations elsewhere. I agree with other disappointing reviews and would not recommend this place for the cost.

This hotel is a previous Dutch palace. It is not a modern purpose built hotel but what it lacks in modern amenities it makes up for in character. The staff were very kind and helpful and the food was good and the room was adequate for a 4 star hotel and location was perfect. Overall would highly recommend for anyone wanting a unique experience.
