We had a very disappointing experience at Black Beach Resort, Varkala. Apart from the location, there was almost nothing positive about this property.The overall condition of the hotel is very poor. The rooms were in extremely bad condition, with a strong unpleasant smell in the room, common areas, and restaurant. The room was not comfortable enough for us to stay, and we could not even spend one night properly.Some major issues we faced:❌ No Wi-Fi / internet❌ Very poor room condition❌ Room door and lock were not working properly❌ No proper housekeeping❌ Strong unpleasant smell throughout the property❌ Very poor food quality❌ Breakfast was one of the worst hotel breakfasts we have experienced❌ Around 95% of the food options were non-vegetarian, with very limited choices for vegetarian guests❌ Common areas and restaurant were also not maintained properlyThe only positive thing about this property is its location near Black Beach. Unfortunately, a good location alone cannot compensate for such poor cleanliness, maintenance, food, and basic facilities.I would strongly recommend checking other hotels before booking this property. Definitely not recommended for a comfortable family stay.
