Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal

I recently stayed at this location as a woman traveling alone on a business trip. My stay was 13 nights.I felt safe, my room was kept very clean (thank you to Ankit) and staff couldn’t have been more helpful.I was on the 8th floor and I could hear the music from the events but did receive a letter explaining in advance that it would be occurring.I ate breakfast most days and thought there was a large selection of choices.I needed to work from my room while staying here and found the WiFi to be quite good. I appreciated having the desk in the room.

Our stay at Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal did not meet our expectations. We had anticipated a top-class hotel with excellent service and facilities, but our experience fell short from the very beginning.The issues started at check-in, where we were met by an unfriendly and arrogant staff member who was not welcoming. The check-in process was slow, and when we were essentially finished and only waiting for our room keys, we were asked to wait. While we were waiting, she began checking in other guests who were standing in line and handed them their keys. I had to ask twice for our keys before we finally received them, meaning we waited unnecessarily for no reason at all.We were given no information about Wi-Fi, the hotel’s restaurants, where or when breakfast was served’only the room keys were handed to us, and that concluded the interaction. There was also no staff available to assist with our luggage, a service that even much smaller and cheaper hotels in Bangalore usually provide, but not this expensive Marriott property.After check-in, we wanted to visit the pool shown in the hotel’s online photos to swim and enjoy the warm weather. While there was a pool on the terrace, the water temperature was around 21??C, despite the air temperature being approximately 30??C. This made it unsuitable for swimming, especially for us as a family with children. Additionally, the pool view was a major disappointment. The images shown online and on the hotel’s website appear to be outdated and taken when the hotel was new. The current view overlooks an active construction site for another hotel.We then left the pool area and attempted to book a table at the restaurant we had seen online, which advertised outdoor seating. Upon arrival, we were informed that outdoor seating was unavailable due to a corporate booking, and we had to dine indoors instead. We also visited the second restaurant located on the first floor, which has an adjacent bar. Both restaurants, the food, and the restaurant staff were very good and maintained a high standard. Unfortunately, the rest of the hotel staff we encountered were generally unfriendly and seemed indifferent toward guests.After our stay, we received multiple reminders requesting that we submit reviews, with strong pressure to rate the experience as a 9 or 10 on a 0’10 scale. This raises concerns about the credibility of the hotel’s overall review scores, which do not reflect our actual experience.In summary, Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal is overpriced and misrepresents itself through misleading and outdated images online. We strongly advise against staying here. There are both better and more affordable hotel options available in Bangalore.

My recent stay at Courtyard by Marriott Bengaluru Hebbal had a mix of positives and areas that need improvement.To begin with the highlights ’ the overall cleanliness of the property was impressive. The rooms and common areas were well maintained, and housekeeping support was prompt and efficient. The breakfast buffet at the in-house restaurant was excellent, offering a wide variety of fresh items with continuous refilling. The lounge experience was enjoyable in terms of unlimited beverages, which added good value.A special mention to Tejaswini, our Personal Relationship Manager, whose service truly stood out. Since this was our first stay at a Marriott property, she ensured we were well guided and comfortable throughout. Her professionalism and warmth made a noticeable difference.That said, there were several concerns that affected the overall experience.Firstly, the pricing felt significantly on the higher side for a business hotel of this size. Compared to similar or even larger properties in cities like Chennai and elsewhere, it did not feel like value for money.At the reception, being asked about the reason for our stay is understandable, but the reaction after mentioning it was for Valentine’s Day felt slightly awkward and unprofessional.The room allocation was another disappointment. Our confirmed booking clearly mentioned a twin double bed city view room, but without prior communication or acknowledgment, it was changed to a king-sized bed room.There was also a DJ night with loud music that continued until 1 a.m. While such events are fine, guests should ideally be informed well in advance during booking. Informing us only at check-in and apologizing afterward did not help much with the disturbance.At the pool area, towels were not replenished promptly. After coming out of the pool, we had to wait 10’15 minutes while wet for fresh towels despite informing the staff. Some towels also appeared old and faded, which does not align with five-star standards. There were moments where used towels seemed to be folded before being sent for laundry, which raised concerns about hygiene (though this may have been an observation rather than confirmed practice).The lounge dinner spread was quite limited, with only one main dish available, which was underwhelming for executive lounge access.There was also confusion regarding entry to the DJ event for in-house guests ’ some staff mentioned it was complimentary while others said it was chargeable. After some discussion, we were granted complimentary access, but the inconsistency was inconvenient.Additionally, unlike some other properties that include breakfast for in-house guests, it was not offered here unless selected as a paid package. We had to opt for breakfast and lunch access separately at an additional cost.Overall, while the cleanliness, breakfast quality, lounge beverages, and exceptional service from Tejaswini were definite positives, the pricing, communication gaps, room allocation change, and certain service inconsistencies prevented the stay from feeling like a complete five-star experience.With better coordination, transparency, and attention to detail, this property has the potential to deliver a much stronger premium experience.

Amazing Food. Sweet delicacies being the real winners.Time with GF is great here especially Fine dining. Most recommended.Sushi since made before as per Ala carte was bit dry... Prawn was good though...But that fine...

Stayed in Jan 2026. Room was a bit small. A bit dusty, maybe due to the on-going construction on the road.9th floor, had a beautiful view of the lake ,palm trees, city and an amazing sunset.Bed was a bit too high for my comfort.Appreciate the in-room ironing facilities.Close to pheonix mall of asia (high end), element mall (mid to low range).Buffet had a large variety of items. Chaat corner items and fish items were delicious, but other items were mediocre.Staff were courteous, especially Mr. Christopher at the helpdesk was very helpful.Had a shortage of in-room coffee sachets which was provided only on the 3rd day.Waiting area could have more chairs as many times we had to stand in the lobby when waiting for vehicle.
