Staying for two days allowed us to fully appreciate the stunning heritage architecture and the breathtaking panoramic views of Udaipur. The ambiance is luxurious yet relaxing, making it the perfect destination for both team bonding and leisure. Truly an amazing experience!

While the property itself is aesthetically pleasing and the rooms are spacious, the service standards, food quality, and guest management are far below expectations for a premium heritage hotel.’’’ Pros’Spacious Rooms & Bathrooms: Rooms and washrooms are large, comfortable, and well-maintained.’Cleanliness: Housekeeping is satisfactory and rooms are kept clean.’Property Ambience: The heritage setting and views are the strongest positives of the property.’Reception Service: Mrs. Veena at the reception has been courteous and responsive, and handles queries professionally.’’’ Cons1. Food Quality ’ Average to Below Average’Breakfast quality is average in taste and variety.’Dinner food lacks consistency; we were served raw food on one occasion, which is unacceptable.’Overall dining experience does not justify the pricing.2. Poor Service & Severe Staff Shortage’Noticeable lack of staff during breakfast and dinner services.’Long wait times, unattended tables, and slow service are recurring issues.’Service quality has remained poor across multiple days.3. In-Room Dining Is Substandard’In-room dining is not available during breakfast hours, forcing guests to wait or step out unnecessarily.’Calls often go unanswered.’Response times are extremely slow.4. Outdoor Dining Comfort Ignored’Outdoor dining chairs were steel chairs without cushions, despite very cold December weather.’Cushions were only added after 2 days, after discomfort was already faced.5. Serious Noise Disturbance & Poor Guest Handling’A family occupying two rooms on the same floor has been causing continuous disturbance by running between rooms, banging doors, and not shutting them properly.’This issue has persisted for over two days, despite repeated complaints.’Instead of enforcing basic guest discipline or resolving the issue at its source, the hotel offered us:’A room on a lower floor’With no comparable view’Downgrade from twin beds to a single bed’This was presented as a ’solution’ along with plunge pool, which felt more like a bribe than a genuine upgrade in this weather.’The explanation given was that the other guests refused to cooperate or display basic civic sense, and therefore we were expected to compromise.’It is unreasonable for paying guests to be asked to downgrade their stay due to the hotel’s inability to manage guest behavior.’Final VerdictWhile Fatehgarh by Fateh Collection offers good rooms and a beautiful setting, it fails significantly in service quality, food standards, noise control, and guest experience management.For a property positioned as a luxury heritage hotel, guests should not be expected to:’Tolerate noise disturbances for days’Accept room downgrades as ’solutions’’Compromise on food quality and service levelsAt the current pricing, the experience does not justify the cost.
