’ 0/5 ’ A Special Day Ruined by Poor ManagementWe booked the air-conditioned banquet hall at Burooj Luxury Hotel for my sister's engagement on 14 June 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM for around 60 guests. What should have been one of the happiest and most memorable days for our family turned into a deeply disappointing and stressful experience.When we arrived at the venue at 11:00 AM, the AC was not working. The management appeared completely unprepared to handle the situation. A staff member unsuccessfully tried to fix the AC, and a technician was only brought in around 12:30 PM,in between the function dismantling AC parts. We were then informed that the AC wiring had allegedly been damaged by rats and might not work at all.The hall became extremely uncomfortable, with around 60 guests’including elderly people, pregnant women, women, and children’left sitting in a hot, poorly ventilated environment. Despite the seriousness of the situation, the only alternative arrangement provided was a single pedestal fan for the entire hall with 60 guests.What was most upsetting was the lack of urgency and support from the management team. There was no proper contingency plan, no timely communication, and no effective effort to ensure the comfort of the guests. The hall itself also appeared poorly maintained, raising concerns about how such a critical issue could go unnoticed before an event. They maintained silence though the whole event. They were unable to arrange alternative solutions.To add insult to injury, after the event, the manager offered a discount of just ’2,000 as compensation for the inconvenience caused. This felt dismissive and showed little regard for the impact this incident had on our family and guests.Our family had spent months planning this engagement ceremony. Instead of enjoying the occasion, we spent the day worrying about our guests and dealing with a situation that should never have occurred. The embarrassment and discomfort experienced in front of our relatives and friends cannot be measured in monetary terms.To be fair, the owner later apologized and acknowledged that the manager had failed to arrange an alternative solution. The owner ultimately waived the hall charges altogether. While we appreciate the apology and gesture, no amount of discount or waived payment can restore the precious memories lost, the discomfort faced by our guests, or the emotional distress caused to our family on such an important occasion.Money can be refunded. Prestige, peace of mind, and once-in-a-lifetime memories cannot.I hope this review encourages the management to improve their maintenance standards and event preparedness so that no other family has to go through a similar experience on their special day.

I booked a four-day stay but decided to check out a day early. While the staff were incredibly helpful and the breakfast was excellent, the room itself didn't meet expectations. The interiors felt dated, the bed was uncomfortable, and the sheets were not clean. On the plus side, the location in Edappally is perfect; it’s just a 10-minute walk to Lulu Mall. Overall, a convenient spot, but the room quality made for an underwhelming experience.
