The hotel is a little old so the washroom is not the best. But the food is great, the staff are amazing and the rooms are clean. It is a great budget stay
We stayed at Hotel Jai, Kodaikanal from 30th May - 1st June, 2026. Actually we stuck at coonoor sightseeing and due to that we reached hotel Jai at around 10.30 pm but we called about the issue and they packed dinner and served dinner for us at 11 pm also. Breakfast and dinner are so delicious (one day they served fruit salad and icecream apart from regular dinner) and excellent. They serve a few items on your table. So, I can say food service is very good. Only one complaint is bathroom accessories are old and sofa is stinking. One day hot water was not coming so we all took a bath using cold water but another day they provided hot water also. They need to upgrade in some facilities of the rooms else very good to stay there. I recommend to stay there.
All the staffs are very polite and kind. We went there during the peak summer 2026 and stayed in the family room. Room is verrryy big., two cots was there and during night the sofa was modified as bed..Breakfast and dinner was included in the rent and Mr. Indrajit, the restaurant incharge was very kind and cooperative.. Enough parking space also available..We can consider this for a few nights family stay..
