Hotel Legend Inn @ Nagpur

Recently visited The Legend Inn, Wardha Road, Nagpur for a family function and it was a wonderful experience. The ambience is really warm and inviting, with a beautifully maintained lawn that adds a special touch to any gathering.The food was absolutely amazing.. special mention for Saoji kofta and Malpua ’’..Our entire family thoroughly enjoyed the spread. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable.Highly recommended for family events or dining ..

The major usp of this place is its proximity to the airport.They have developed the property on a theme of mountain climbers who have sumitted various peaks and all the rooms are named after famous mountaineers.Thats mostly where the good part ends though.Rooms are okay, not great. bathrooms have poor ventilation and drainage. There is nobody at the front gate to help with your luggage at the time of checkin, but someone will definitely be there when you check out, because thats when you give out the tips. Room service is pedestrian. Elevators start acting up suddenly without notice.Food was decent, service in the restaurant was decent. Food quality was decent but not great.Ideally, you can use this property for a quick night stay if catching an early morning flight. Its quite far from the railway station though.They have a small party plot within the premisis and the music can get pretty loud. Sound proofing is not that great.Average experience at best.

1. Dirty, used bedlinen on the bed when we were handed over the room.Hair on pillows and quilt.Crumpled sheets, clear body marks on pillows, quilt and sheet.2. Took 03 remotes to get the AC operable.3. Electric kettle not working . Had to be changed.4. Attached glass study table missing.5. Food : we've had breakfast only. Very basic.Unsure whether we should have any more in-house meals from their restaurant, considering the terrible awful hygiene and sanitation that they displayed in the room. If this is the condition of a fresh room that's handed over to a new guest, I wonder what the state of hygiene in the kitchen is.And this is a rs. 5000+ per night room that I'm referring to.We chose this place since it is owned by a retired officer from the Indian Navy, who is a mountaineer and also an Arjuna and Padmabhushan awardee.We are from the Indian Defense Services and wanted to enable a brother-officer's business initiative.We actually cancelled our booking in Radisson Blu, just to show our solidarity towards a fellow Defense officer when we found out that it's a retired and decorated officer's endeavour !It is a shame the way the way the staff is giving this retired and decorated officer a bad name. Extremely disrespectful towards this retired Naval officer who has built this hotel that is providing them with their salaries.We're shocked by the awfully low standards of hygiene and sanitation and the complete dis-concern displayed. Only when we raised a hue and cry did they move us into a fresh and clean room with all the amenities in working order.Does the late Capt. Kohli's son, Mr. Ravi Kohli, know how his late father's legacy is being shamed by his own staff ??

Location wise this place is best for travellers who wants to stay here when one is just for layover on Samruddhi Express Highway or another highway passing through Nagpur as it is very close to outer ring road. The cleanliness is up to mark. Food quality and the breakfast items are indeed very good. The rooms are fairly in good state for family.

The hotel is located near the airport and on the main road. Had a great stay. Food was good and room was spacious. Overall a great experience
