Hotel Shivas Inn

I stayed at Hotel Shivas Inn on 11 July - 13 July , and unfortunately, it was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I've had. We paid ’7,030 for our stay, and honestly, the experience did not justify the price at all.The biggest issue was the staff's attitude. Instead of taking responsibility for the problems we faced, they told us that we "shouldn't have booked the hotel in the first place." That response was rude, unprofessional, and showed a complete lack of accountability.The rooms look nothing like the photos advertised online. The pictures are misleading. The only good thing about the room was the balcony view , everything else was below expectations.We were also sent a menu on WhatsApp before our stay, but the prices at the hotel were higher. When we questioned this, we were casually told that the rates had increased "just two days ago." Guests should be informed about price changes instead of finding out after placing an order.The food was disappointing. We ordered Poori Bhaji, but it was excessively oily with very little bhaji with lots of oil. Even the tea tasted awful. After that, we chose to eat all our meals outside the hotel.Since the hotel is located in a hilly area with cold weather, hot water is a basic necessity. We had to leave at 6:00 AM for a pooja, but there was no hot water available at 5:00 AM. My mother had to bathe with freezing cold water. When we asked the staff, they said hot water would only be available after 5:30 AM, which was too late for us.The ceiling fan in our room stopped working, and despite informing the staff, they neither repaired it nor shifted us to another room. They simply left the issue unresolved until we checked out.Even basic housekeeping was disappointing. We were not given the complimentary water bottles or towels on time. In fact, the staff handed us four water bottles only when we were about to check out, saying they had forgotten to give them earlier. We received towels only on the first day and were not provided with fresh towels on the following day either. Forgetting such basic amenities is unacceptable for any hotel.Overall, paying ’7,030 for this level of service felt like a complete waste of money. The only positive thing about this hotel was the balcony view. Everything else from customer service and room quality to food, housekeeping, and maintenance was disappointing. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and improves the experience for future guests.

Had a terrible experience. I wouldn't suggest visiting this place.

Guruji provided outstanding hospitality. The stay was truly wonderful, and both the food and service were excellent.

This is among the top hotels in Trimbak for a family stay, conveniently near the temple. The location is beautifully scenic, making it tempting to go hiking in the surrounding mountains. We stayed here in May during the peak summer, and the early morning scenery was breathtaking. Definitely a recommended place to stay when traveling with family.
