Terrible experience. There were hidden charges and the owner had a very bad attitude, making it the worst stay.

The staff's behavior was terrible, and the owner's attitude was the worst, truly horrible. We had a very disappointing stay. Before our photoshoot, we asked about the photography fees and were told it would be ₹1,500. We agreed based on that. But at checkout, the owner suddenly said the charge was ₹15,000, not ₹1,500. We were shocked and explained we wouldn't have done the photoshoot if we knew the real price. Still, the owner refused to accept the original amount and demanded ₹15,000 before we could leave. This seemed like a last-minute price hike. The owner's attitude was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. Honest businesses don't change prices after providing a service and then force customers to pay more. I strongly suggest anyone planning to stay or do a photoshoot here to get all charges in writing first. From our experience, I can't recommend this place.

As a Bridgerton fan, I was completely overwhelmed by the stunning beauty of this place... It truly embodies old English charm! The decorations were incredible, exuding elegance with gorgeous vintage decor. Our room featured a four-poster bed with alcoves and a dresser fit for a princess! The gardens and pathways were equally breathtaking... we didn’t want to leave! We also had a lovely chat with the owner, who was incredibly kind, calm, and respectful. We felt very inspired! The gardens were thoughtfully designed, with beautiful blooming flowers everywhere. The food was homemade and delicious too! I would definitely recommend this place 100/10 🙌🏾♥️✨

The rooms were large, beautifully decorated, well-maintained, and perfectly balanced heritage style with modern amenities. The bathrooms were equally impressive—spotlessly clean, luxurious, and thoughtfully arranged. What really distinguishes Kelso House is the friendly and attentive staff who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and cared for throughout our stay. The dining was outstanding, with fresh and delicious breakfasts each morning, presented beautifully with a great variety. The highlight was the amazing BBQ evening organized by the team, set against Ooty's stunning scenery, creating a magical and unforgettable family experience. The entire property is stunning, featuring manicured gardens, elegant interiors, and a peaceful ambiance that feels more like a private luxury retreat than a hotel. For anyone seeking a boutique stay in Ooty with charm, luxury, excellent hospitality, and memorable meals, Kelso House stands out. We are eager to come back. 10/10 – Highly recommended.

The rooms are beautiful, set in a very tranquil location with a fully luxurious atmosphere. The food and staff were excellent, and I really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to returning. Wonderful hospitality.
