Life At Repose: Lake Villas Resort & Club

Among the top weekend getaways close to Ahmedabad. The rooms were tidy, and the property offered both indoor and outdoor games. We had fun with the indoor games, swimming pool, and various themed gardens. Mohanji, the manager and host, took great care of us, providing all the information and showing great hospitality. Additionally, the food at Poise cafe was excellent, and the restaurant staff were very efficient. It was not only the place but also the people serving us who made our stay unforgettable.

An excellent spot to escape the pressures of urban living. Peaceful, serene, and nestled in nature, it's just what you need for a rejuvenating getaway.

We had an absolutely delightful stay at this resort. Our charming cottage overlooking the pond was very tranquil and soothing. Watching the lovely birds, geese, and swifts flying by added a special touch to our experience. Our children were thrilled to see a large lizard-like animal on the grounds and enjoyed observing the fish in the lake. Special thanks to Mr. Himadri, the General Manager, for his kindness and for giving us a tour of the entire property. Since we arrived by plane and had no vehicle, he made sure to arrange a bike and rickshaw for us. Each garden here is uniquely designed with great care. Honestly, even two days felt too short to fully explore and enjoy everything. The maze garden was particularly impressive — the echo effect from the center was a fun and unforgettable experience. We also had a great time riding the double-seater cycle around the property, which added to the charm of our stay. The grounds are beautifully surrounded by trees and greenery, creating a natural sanctuary that is home to monkeys and many birds. The staff throughout our visit were warm, welcoming, and very friendly. The food was fantastic — the Paneer Paratha is definitely worth trying! The kids enjoyed watching the colorful fish while the meals were being prepared, making dining even more fun. Our room was spacious, elegant, and featured a timeless classic design that enhanced our comfort. This is truly a place you can visit repeatedly without ever getting bored. We never felt the need to leave the property or watch TV because there was always something peaceful and beautiful to appreciate around us. One of the most relaxing parts of our stay was lounging on the hammocks under the natural shade of the trees, listening to the gentle wind chimes and feeling the cool breeze. The whole atmosphere was calming, meditative, and deeply refreshing. A small suggestion would be to offer a buggy service for guests arriving by flight without their own vehicle. Since the property covers nearly 150 acres, it can be challenging to explore entirely on foot, although the staff kindly arranged rickshaws when needed. It would also be great to have smaller cycles available so younger children can ride on their own and enjoy the property even more. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to reconnect with nature and find true peace and relaxation.

I traveled from Pune to Gandhinagar for work from June 6th to 7th, 2026. Since it was my first time in Gujarat, I brought my family along. I wanted a villa stay and found one at Life at Repose, booking for June 5th, 2026. The property is beautifully designed and well-kept, sprawling over 150 acres with 3 lakes featuring fountains, 8 themed gardens, Poise Restaurant, kids' play area, lounge, swimming pools for both kids and adults, indoor games, gym, swings, hammocks, single and double bicycles, a fish pond, and villas. Before entering the resort, we saw a peacock which thrilled my kids. Inside, we spotted an iguana, Indian langurs, ducks, geese, various birds, and lovely fish in the pond. The villas are roomy, stylish, and charming, with balconies overlooking the lake. It was delightful to hear peacocks and birds all day and watch ducks and geese swim from the balcony. We enjoyed delicious food at Poise Restaurant; the kids especially liked the paneer paratha. While the chef cooked, the kids watched the colorful fish in the pond. Special thanks to the chef. I gave my kids a ride on the two-seater bike to the lake where they played on swings and relaxed in hammocks. The metallic wind chimes hanging from trees created a peaceful atmosphere, like meditating in a Buddhist monastery. In the evening, Mr. Himadri, the General Manager, gave us a tour of the themed gardens. Life at Repose is based on the theme of the sun, and we saw a real sundial. Mr. Himadri has a pet parrot named Tatto that lives freely in the trees. Many thanks to him for his exceptional hospitality. Later, the kids enjoyed swimming in the elegantly designed pool. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Mr. Kishor, the Front Office Associate, who gave us a bike ride around the property since we had no car. If you want to experience luxury surrounded by nature, Life at Repose is a must-visit. During our stay, my kids learned how humans and animals can coexist peacefully. They wished they could stay there forever, and I can't wait to return. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you.

This is the worst resort I've ever been to, full of nonsense. Don't visit this place; the location is terrible and the services are very poor with bad staff. Especially, don't trust Make My Trip's recommendation for this hotel or resort—they are just deceiving us. There's no manager around, even at night, and there are no water bottles in the room. Please avoid booking here.
