OYO Bengal Guest House Near Birla Mandir

Our stay was very disappointing. The room and bathroom were dirty, and there were many cockroaches present, which is totally unacceptable. The manager and staff behaved very badly. When I expressed my concerns, they were rude and unhelpful. Hygiene and customer service were both poor. I would not suggest staying at this hotel. We were three guests, but when we asked for three towels, the manager refused and said only two towels would be given. Overall, the experience was very unsatisfactory.

I booked the room online where the price was shown higher, but we got a discount and I used some credit, so the price was obviously lower. When I arrived to check in, they said they wouldn't give a good room because I paid less, which defeats the purpose of booking online. I advise everyone not to book online and better not come here because the staff and management are not helpful. They are rude, harsh, and uncooperative. Rooms are assigned based on the amount paid, not the online booking. The rooms are very small and they don't even provide complimentary water.

DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL WITHOUT READING THIS FIRST!!! I reserved this hotel through Agoda, but when I arrived, the receptionist told me they were fully booked and couldn't honor my reservation. This was very surprising since my booking was confirmed. I ended up wasting time waiting at the reception and contacting Agoda customer support. The receptionist tried to explain that they were sold out for those dates but didn't understand why the system still showed availability. If you decide to book, make sure to confirm with the receptionist before going. I had no choice but to quickly find another hotel at the last minute.

Perfect stay in a prime Bangalore location

I prepaid part of my booking based on the online photos, which seemed decent, but the actual experience was shocking and unacceptable. The rooms were in awful shape with leaking taps and poor maintenance, and worst of all, they were overrun with cockroaches. The receptionist showed me three different rooms, each infested with multiple cockroaches, which was disgusting and upsetting. I immediately requested a refund as I refused to stay there. Instead of dealing with it professionally, the receptionist (Aishwarya) made me wait unnecessarily, seemingly to buy time. She then quickly cleaned a room and urged me to check it and stay, which was unacceptable given what I had seen. Traumatized by the other rooms, I refused and asked for a refund. She argued and told me to return the next day to collect it, which made no sense since I refused the service on the spot due to the poor conditions. After I insisted, she became argumentative and mentioned the hotel ownership had changed, which is irrelevant to me as a guest. This whole experience was unprofessional, unhygienic, and very frustrating. The hotel is nothing like the online photos, and the staff cannot handle basic customer issues. Do not trust the photos or book this hotel.
