Pharos Hotels

Rooms were very spacious and well maintained. Linen was clean. Washrooms were hygienic. Ambience of the hotel was pleasing. Reception and kitchen staff were very cooperative and friendly. We were two female friends and we felt very safe staying here. Just one suggestion: please improve the variety in the breakfast and dinner buffet menus. Also increase the number of staff present during peak meal times. I felt there were only one or two servers catering to the guests and also there were no one to guide guests, for example on how to operate the toaster.Rest of our experience was very good.

Pros:1) Ideal location in Chennai; especially ideal for those heading to the Chennai VAC Biometics Center and the US Consulate General. Sterling Road has excellent restaurants in walkable distances from the hotel: SVR Sangeetha Veg Restaurant is a 5-minutute walk, Adyar Ananda Bhavan - A2B (4 minutes) and Zaitoon Signature (7 minutes)2) Clean, dry (odorless) and well-maintained rooms. The room let in a decent amount of natural light. 24-hour hot running water. Clean bathrooms. Very soft and clean pillows. High speed WiFi3) Excellent effect of AC in the room4) Breakfast buffet is up and ready at 7 am sharp which is most welcome for early risers and movers5) Very fast check-in and check-out6) Courteous staff7) Excellent taste of the complimentray breakfast buffet. A good mix of Indian and western food items. The pongal and sambar were to die for! The potato wedges and chicken curry were excellent!Cons:1) The complimetary breakfast buffet spread should be changed every day. A live dosa counter should be open from 7 am onwards for dosa lovers. Preferably have more staff to remove used plates, etc. from the seating tables2) The no. of tea bags and Nescafe coffee sachets in the room can be increasedOverall, excellent stay and value for money. Will surely come back.

Rooms are good and clean , few things missing like hand towels, foot mat , bathroom slippers.Room service is good, food is ok. The corridors usually stinks in the morning where I stayed, I did report but may be it is like that.I had booked room with breakfast. Breakfast was decent but services there are not great, most of the time I had to ask for glass for water which was never replaced . They do not refill water to your glasses- may be it is a self service, I’m not sure. The waiters are just around mostly just watching around.The only awful experience that I had was the common restroom on the ground floor. Unfortunately I had to enter this as I had already checked out from my room. This was worse where both the toilets were left without flushing.Personally I feel it is good place to stay for a couple of days. Services and cleanliness could be improved and feedback from customers could help .

Our guests stayed at Pharos Hotels for three days during our wedding celebrations, and the experience was absolutely wonderful. All our guests had a very comfortable stay and everything was managed smoothly without any trouble at all.What impressed us the most was the honesty and support of the hotel staff. A few of our guests had accidentally left some belongings in their rooms, and the hotel team not only found them but also safely kept them aside. A special thanks to Mr. Mani (Manager of the Day) who went out of his way to personally hand over those items to us even at midnight.The bell boys and security staff were extremely helpful throughout the stay, always assisting our guests with a smile. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very well maintained.We would also like to thank Mr. Srinivasan, the Front Office Manager, for accommodating our special wedding-related requests and ensuring everything went smoothly for our guests.Overall, we truly appreciate the hospitality and professionalism of the entire team. Thank you for making our wedding stay such a pleasant experience.

Our stay was comfortable- clean and hygienic place, well equipped, spacious room. Buffet breakfast is good - both spread and taste. Hotel also has complementary packages, which are worth exploring. Staff are cordial, take good care of the customers. Overall, a good place, gives a positive experience.
