Good Room, nice restaurant and food , excellent ambience
Had a wonderful stay at Layalee Grande Hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff was polite and helpful, and the location was very convenient, especially for visiting the Chennai Trade Centre and nearby metro station. The food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. Overall, the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chennai and would be happy to stay here again.
Extremely disappointing stay. We reserved a Deluxe Room, but found many cockroaches in the bathroom and wardrobe. After complaining to the manager, we were moved to a smaller room, which also had cockroaches and was very noisy. The major problem was the absence of hot water, and the laundry service was unavailable despite being advertised. Several other promised amenities were also not functioning. When we raised these issues at reception, the staff spoke in Malayalam and made rude comments about us in front of others, saying something like "We shouldn't give rooms to these kind of people." We even recorded this incident. This hotel is not worth the price. For the same amount, you can find a clean, hospitable hotel with hot water and respectful staff for ₹500–₹1,000 elsewhere. I would never suggest staying here; the rooms were dirty, facilities missing, and staff unprofessional. Please avoid wasting your money here.
