Mango Hill Central Chennai

Strongly recommended. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are tidy. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic.

I stayed at Mango Hill Central Chennai, T. Nagar, in mid-September mainly because of its great location near the US Visa biometrics/VFS center, which was very convenient for me. The hotel itself is nice with good basic amenities. The room and bathroom were clean, toiletries were provided, and the reception staff were generally polite and helpful when I spoke to them. The Neighborhood Bar downstairs was a nice surprise and one of the better features of the hotel. However, the comfort of the room and the responsiveness of the service were disappointing overall. Initially, I was given a room on the sixth floor where the AC barely cooled the room despite multiple visits from the technician. I then requested a room change and was moved to a first-floor room with better cooling but very loud AC noise that disturbed my sleep. When I asked if the noise could be fixed or if another room was available, the technician only lowered the fan speed, which reduced noise but also cooling. I had to choose between better cooling with noise or quieter but less cooling. In the end, I chose to go back to the original sixth-floor room with poor cooling. Handling my luggage was also frustrating as I had to carry it myself between floors during room changes, and staff only helped after repeated requests. Sometimes, when I called for assistance, no one came. The reception team was reasonably accommodating and tried to help with the AC and room change, but the overall service execution was lacking. A hotel room should be properly cooled and quiet enough to sleep in. At a rate of about ₹5,000–₹6,000 per night, I expected a much more comfortable stay. While cleanliness, bathroom, facilities, location, and bar were satisfactory or good, the poor cooling on the sixth floor, noisy AC on the first floor, and inconsistent service significantly affected my experience. The hotel has many positives, especially its location and facilities, but based on my stay, it did not offer good value for money. The location is excellent for US Visa/VFS appointments, but I would want the hotel to fix the cooling, AC noise, and service issues before staying again.

The room is very nice and the food is excellent. The hotel staff and receptionists are very polite. It's a great place to stay.

Good property with amazing service and budget-friendly pricing. The rooms are clean and neat, and we had no problems during our stay. Songita and Prakashraj were very cooperative, polite, and attentive throughout our visit. They made us feel welcome and ensured everything was taken care of. Highly recommended for a comfortable and pleasant stay.
