Green Meadows Resort

This is among the top resorts in ECR, situated close to the beach. Guests have the opportunity to visit both Palavakkam and Neelangarai Beaches. The staff are very friendly and provide excellent service in every way.

We celebrated our parents' 50th wedding anniversary at Green Meadows, booking rooms for 30 guests over the weekend and hosting a lunch for 55 people. Green Meadows took care of the lodging, banquet, and event management throughout the weekend. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to assist, which was crucial since we live in the USA and coordinated everything by phone. I worked with Ruveena for room bookings and Sharmila for banquet catering; both were very responsive and provided timely information. During the event weekend, a banquet team led by Thiru and Michael managed the meals smoothly, showing flexibility and friendliness. They kept me informed and ensured our weekend guests were well cared for. We enjoyed being close to the beach, watching the sunrise both mornings and returning for the complimentary breakfast. Our children had a great time in the pool, and those who like shopping appreciated the nearby city and malls. However, the rooms need improvement: several had broken faucets, non-working phones preventing room service orders, some were not cleaned thoroughly, and one boutique room had a strong musty odor. My room, 124, was near an area storing broken toilets, and the steps to my room were damaged and uneven. The resort definitely needs to invest more in maintenance. Despite this, the excellent staff made up for it. Everyone, including managers Thomas and the banquet manager, was eager to help in every way. I am grateful to Ruveena, Mani, Sharmila, Thomas, Thiru, Michael, and the entire team for making our event successful. I also want to highlight the onsite Asian restaurant. Having tried Japanese, Korean, Thai, Malaysian, and Chinese food worldwide, Orchid/Bayroot stands out. We loved the ramen—kudos to the chef! Overall, it was a wonderful weekend.

I'm talking about the bar inside, Origami. Priced are on the premium side, decor is sparse, food is good. The place is not very large. We went on a Saturday night, music was loud couldn't really talk so this place is not for first dates. Dj was playing mix of tracks mostly hip hop. Try the chili beef and long island ice tea. It's good but not wow. Waiters were pleasant. Toilets clean. Smoking area in the back. I'd give it a 3.5 to 4 out of 5.

I'm referring to the bar inside, Origami. Prices are somewhat high, the decor is minimal, and the food is tasty. The venue is quite small. We visited on a Saturday night, and the music was loud, making conversation difficult, so it's not ideal for first dates. The DJ played mostly hip hop tracks. I recommend trying the chili beef and Long Island iced tea. They are good but not exceptional. The waitstaff were friendly, and the restrooms were clean. There's a smoking area at the back. I'd rate it between 3.5 and 4 out of 5.
