Pratap Mahal - IHCL SeleQtions (A Taj InnerCircle Hotel)

A great location doesn't always guarantee good service, and sadly, this hotel provided one of the worst hospitality experiences I've encountered regarding room service, restaurant service, and staff attitude. During high tea, I ordered a single coffee and was happy to pay separately, but it took 35 minutes to arrive, by which time my family had finished. For lunch, I ordered butter chicken while the restaurant was nearly empty, yet the food took about 45 minutes to come, and the rotis arrived 10 minutes later, leaving me with cold butter chicken and hot rotis. This level of service is unacceptable for a hotel restaurant. What upset me more was how a staff member spoke rudely and harshly to my younger sister, who was just playing around, causing her to cry. There are respectful ways to address children or their families, and this was not one of them. I'm currently at the Aravalli restaurant writing this review; I ordered black coffee, but the waiter told me my cappuccino was coming. When I corrected him, he said, "Yes, that's also on the way," which perfectly reflects the lack of attention and service we've experienced. A beautiful location can't make up for consistently poor service and rude behavior. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this hotel and hope management addresses these issues with better staff training, professionalism, and service standards. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Excellent... roomy accommodations, friendly staff, and a truly stunning location

My stay at Pratap Mahal, an IHCL SeleQtions property in Pushkar, was truly one of those holidays that stays with you long after you leave.The location is simply beautiful, tucked away in a peaceful corner, surrounded by the lush green Aravalli hills. During the monsoon, everything was fresh and green, making it the perfect getaway for two or three days. The property itself is gorgeous, with beautifully maintained gardens, a lovely swimming pool and wonderful infrastructure. I also had an excellent experience at the spa. The service was warm, professional and the entire space was very well maintained.What really stood out, however, was the people. The housekeeping team went out of their way to make us comfortable and ensured that everything we needed was taken care of. A special mention to GM Devendra Ratnavat, F&B Manager Vikram Shekhawat, Steward Saurabh, Executive Chef Parmeshwar Sharma, Chef Hukum, Chef Hitesh and Sarthak. Their warmth, courtesy and genuine desire to make our stay special were truly remarkable.The food deserves a special mention too. I made a request for a dish- Kabuli, a special Rajasthani/Jodhpuri preparation that wasn't on their menu. Chef Hukum willing shared the entire recipe with me while we cooked in the hotel kitchen together. It was absolutely delectable.The kitchen was perhaps one of the cleanest I have ever seen, especially impressive considering how busy and bustling it was. The discipline, teamwork and mutual respect among the entire team were clearly visible.One experience that touched me deeply was their "Memories on My Plate" initiative, where guests can share a personal recipe and cook it with the chefs. I had the privilege of sharing my mother's recipe, a dish very close to my heart. The team of chefs participated with such enthusiasm, patiently indulging my very amateur attempts! They recorded the experience and documented the recipe too. It was such a simple yet beautiful idea, and one that has etched this memory in my heart for life.And then there was music! Four folk singers performed for us while I danced, followed by a lovely dinner served in the courtyard under the open sky. These are the experiences that make a holiday much more than simply staying at a hotel.All credit to the entire team and especially their leader, GM Devendra Ratnavat, who clearly knows how to bring out the best in his people and ensured that we were looked after at every step.Pratap Mahal gave me much more than a comfortable stay. It gave me experiences, conversations, food, music, warmth and memories that I will carry for a very long time. A breath of fresh air, quite literally and otherwise. Absolutely loved my time here.

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff was extremely humble, polite, and attentive, and the service was excellent throughout our stay.A special mention to Kashish Rathore , who was exceptionally helpful and always ready to assist with everything we asked for. Her warm and supportive attitude truly made our stay more comfortable.I would also like to appreciate Duty Manager Muskan, who was genuinely concerned about our comfortOverall, a great property with excellent hospitality and a very courteous team. Highly recommended, and we would be happy to stay here again!

The stunning architecture, elegant interiors, and beautifully maintained surroundings create a wonderful blend of heritage charm and modern comfort.The rooms were exceptionally spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean, providing a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The generous space and thoughtful details made it perfect for a family getaway. The traditional swings inside the room added a unique charm and a beautiful touch of Rajasthani elegance, making the stay even more special and memorable.The breathtaking views, spacious areas, and calm atmosphere made our stay truly memorable. It is a place where one can slow down, relax, and enjoy the beauty of nature away from the usual hustle and bustle.A special mention to the warmth and hospitality that added to the experience. Pratap Mahal is a delightful discovery and a perfect destination for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of royal elegance. Truly an unexpected treasure from IHCL.
