This hotel’s name has been changed to ’The Yug’ and their management or team has not at all bothered to update it anywhere. It’s the old name everywhere. Just because of this we had to roam 1 and half hour to actually find the hotel. The cover picture also is misleading. The room photos are fake. In real the rooms look very different from the photos. Very mediocre. Clean but average. Doesn’t feel like a hotel at all, and more like a house. No luxury or comfy or anythingextra ordinary, just a plain ordinary room. The location is good and crowded. The staff were good and very helpful and corporative. Really loved their service. The rooftop restaurant above is very expensive, but good food. If the hotel name was properly addressed and the room photos were shown truly, I would have given a good rating. But they failed there.

Hotel O Hyderabad Gate IIT BHU formerly Yug ResidencyIt was a disappointing experience overall. Firstly the Google cover image is very misleading and sets completely wrong expectations. The exterior itself gives a poor first impression, with green walls and visible black fungus marks running down the building. Right from arrival, the hotel did not feel well maintained.The room experience:on the fourth floor was below average. Overall room quality would be around 3/10 and cleanliness around 4/10. The bed and bedsheets were dirty, pillows were very thin and uncomfortable and the room door lock did not feel secure.The bathroom:was the worst part. The wooden bathroom door had swollen due to moisture or fungus and the latch was misaligned making locking difficult. Soap holders, mirror edges and the shelf below the mirror were rusted. The exhaust fan was placed right above the shower head which looked unsafe and poorly planned. Bathroom hygiene and maintenance were clearly neglected.One staff behavior:was the only positive part of this stay. One staff member on the reception floor was very kind and helpful when I needed assistance opening a packed juice and pouring it into a cup since I was unwell. That gesture was genuinely appreciated. I was informed that rooms on the third floor are better but my stay was on the fourth floor and the quality there was clearly poor.The most serious concerning issue: It is the lift safety’’There are two lifts. One main lift used for luggage and another small vertical lift located in front of room 404 (my room). This lift is extremely unsafe. It can barely fit three people standing back to back and the door sensors do not work. The doors close even if someone is holding them or if luggage is placed in between. A staff member himself mentioned that someone had previously been crushed by these doors. This is extremely dangerous especially for senior citizens and families. I was personally worried for my family’s safety and avoided using this lift after learning about the malfunction. This is a major safety hazard and needs immediate repair before another serious accident occurs.Overall, Yug Residency needs major improvement in cleanliness, room maintenance, bathroom hygiene and MOST importantly lift safety. Infrastructure and safety standards are not acceptable. I would not recommend staying here unless serious changes are made.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Totally disappointed.My experience at Hotel O IIT BHU Yug Residency was extremely bad and I would never recommend this place to anyone. The room I was given was completely different from the photos shown online. The walls were dirty and damp, the bathroom was unhygienic, and the bedsheets looked used and had stains. Even the blanket had a bad smell, clearly not washed properly.The staff was unprofessional and not helpful at all. When I raised complaints about the room condition, they simply ignored them and behaved very rudely. Basic facilities like proper lighting, clean towels, working TV, and clean washroom were missing. The service quality is absolutely zero.Another major issue was that they did not honour the booking properly. Even though I had a confirmed reservation, they kept delaying check-in and acted like they were doing me a favour. This shows a very careless attitude towards guests.The hotel is not worth the money at all. For this price, you can easily find better and cleaner options nearby. My stay here was stressful, unpleasant, and completely opposite of what was promised online.I strongly advise others to avoid this hotel for a comfortable and safe stay.Even tv is not working and overall there is no any remote.
