Our stay at Kart Sey Hotel was a mixed experience. We stayed here for the first two nights of our Leh trip and returned for our final night before flying out.The biggest positive is the location. It's peaceful, scenic, and perfect if you're looking to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the town.However, the overall experience did not justify the price we paid. It was evident that tourist arrivals were low and the hotel was operating with minimal activity. While staff members were courteous and helpful whenever we met them, they were often difficult to find. Extensions to the reception and kitchen frequently went unanswered, and it seemed staff would go for rest even though the hotel wasn't fully functional. Most of the time, we had to go downstairs and look for someone in person.Cleanliness also needs improvement. My kids immediately noticed that the blankets appeared to be the same ones we had used during our stay three days earlier. On our final check-in, there was a tray outside our room with two used cups and leftover bread with a jam packet. Housekeeping merely shifted the tray next to the drinking water table, and it remained there until the next morning when we checked out.On the morning of our departure, around 7:00 AM, we repeatedly tried calling the reception and kitchen to order breakfast before leaving for the airport, but no one answered. I even went downstairs but couldn't find any staff member.What made this stand out even more was that we stayed in Nubra and Pangong during the same trip, where tourism was also slow. Despite that, the staff at those properties were always available, welcoming, and smiling, making us feel genuinely looked after.In summary, Kart Sey Hotel has an excellent location and offers a peaceful stay. However, if you expect prompt service, consistent housekeeping, and staff availability, you may be disappointed. For us, the experience did not offer value for the money spent.
The food which is provided by the hotel is not good, it's not tasty and I feel that it's not of appropriate quality.
