We left the Leela Palace just a week ago and I’m already ready to go back! This hotel is truly the epitome of relaxation and luxury.The experience starts with a beautiful boat ride across the lake. The hotel itself is like a museum, with incredible artwork, architecture, and thoughtful details throughout. The grounds are lush and well maintained ’ perfect for enjoying views of Udaipur and the surrounding areas! The staff were all so kind and attentive. It felt like they anticipated every need before we did. The food at both restaurants, and included breakfast, was also fantastic although on the expensive side relative to other options in the area.We were visiting during Diwali and there were plenty of special touches for the holiday (firework and music show, special snacks on the patio / treats in the room, decorations throughout). Overall, such a fantastic and unforgettable experience!

I’ve stayed in many hotels, but The Leela Palace Udaipur feels like something out of a dream. From the moment we arrived by boat, everything was handled with such warmth and grace. Amar, our boat driver, made that first glimpse of the palace over the lake feel almost cinematic.Deepa at the front desk made our check-in effortless and genuinely welcoming. My birthday fell during the stay, and I was surprised with a cake, photos, and the sweetest setup in my room, it was such a thoughtful touch.Our driver, Chattar, picked us up from the airport and turned what could’ve been a simple transfer into a mini tour. He pointed out everything along the way and shared so many stories about Udaipur. Gurjot, our butler, was incredible, always available, no matter the time, and somehow always one step ahead of what we needed.We joined in the Diwali diya-lighting ceremony, mehendi, bangle making, pottery, and even rangoli. Suzanne guided us through the art walk around the property and explained the artwork and history in a way that made you pause and appreciate every detail. Gulabi from the guest relations team was always smiling and made every conversation feel warm and personal.Breakfasts were another highlight thanks to Lee and Sahil, who made sure we tried everything and never left without a smile.The whole setting is unmatched, the view of the lake from our room, the sound of flutes and folk music in the evenings, the breeze, and the birds in the morning. Everything about the place made us feel like royalty.If you’re thinking about booking, don’t think twice.
