Our stay at The Leela Palace Udaipur was nothing short of magical. Each day began with breathtaking views of Lake Pichola, and evenings were just as spectacular with the palace glowing against the sunset over the water. The lakeside setting is truly unparalleled- tranquil, romantic, and timeless- and staying right on the water makes the entire Udaipur experience feel elevated and unforgettable.We visited during the Christmas season, and the hotel made the celebration incredibly special for our family. It was our young daughter’s first time in India and the staff went above and beyond to ensure it was a truly memorable experience for her. She was given the honor of lighting the Christmas tree, a moment that filled her with joy and excitement. It is a memory she will always treasure and one that created a beautiful family moment we will cherish forever.That said, the butler service could benefit from some refinement. Having stayed at Fairmont Udaipur Palace for a night prior, we did notice a difference in consistency. Proactive communication such as keeping guests informed of activities and timings in advance, as well as timely follow-ups felt somewhat lacking for a property of this caliber. With a bit more polish and anticipation of guest needs, the experience could truly match the otherwise exceptional standard of the hotel. However, we deeply appreciated the thoughtful gesture following the tree-lighting ceremony. The team left our daughter a heartfelt note and a lovely gift, making her feel like a truly special guest. It was a beautiful touch that reflected genuine warmth and care.A very special shoutout to Samarth from the F&B team, who took exceptional care of us during our dining experiences. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in ensuring we were comfortable and well looked after. His warm demeanor and thoughtful service made every meal even more enjoyable. It’s team members like Samarth who truly elevate a stay from wonderful to unforgettable. The Leela Palace Udaipur offers not just luxury, but a magical atmosphere filled with heartfelt hospitality. We left with unforgettable memories and cannot wait to return.

The Leela Palace is awesome, the food is great and the rooms are really nice and have a good amount of space. They have a pool that had a lot of space as well! The only thing is that you have to take a 20 min boat ride to and from the palace which is a tiny bit inconvenient but worth it!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Leela, one that will truly remain a cherished memory for us.
