The Orchid Hotel

Although, listed as a former unit of The Orchid _ The Avante hotel doesn't exhibit any of it's characteristics. I was compelled to stay in as a guest to a wedding hosted there.Rooms:The room size is bare minimum comfortable, furniture is minimal and of average quality. The bathrooms are basic. Quality of bed linens is basic . Crumpled pillows kept. The pillow covers were not changed . Had to get it replaced .Hygiene:The hygiene and cleanliness in the rooms as well as the common areas is very poor. Even at the time of checking in the rooms weren't cleaned properly. The bathrooms were stinking and dirty with unclean floors. Shower curtains were just tied into a knot and hung to the rod in an unusable position. Despite asking for it to be opened, it wasn't done.There was dust in the wardrobe and on the furniture. The bedside rug and doormat of the bathroom was filthy and stinking. Seems like it wasn't washed in years. Had to ask them to remove. Even the door mat wasn't replaced with a fresh one.The corridors were laid with a red carpet that was filthy and dusty never having been washed.Insisting on vacuuming didn't make much difference in it's cleanliness.Though, the hotel was let out as a wedding venue there was no effort to clean the passages, lifts, the entrance at the ground floor was shabby, dirty and filthy, grimy and stinking all around.The party hall used for the main event was relatively clean. But the passages were totally filthy.Food and Beverage:The food served as part of buffets was of average quality.Chefs need lot of training. All the gravies and curries had a heavy base with an overloaded thick spicy mixture that lacked flavour or taste. It was good only to kill the appetite. Except one dinner menu that was bit alright.The tandoori roti was also made with refined flour instead of wheat flour.The wedding dinner that should have been better, was absolutely tasteless and unpalatable. The desert jalebi was prepared with stale sour batter. The starters tasted horrible.Surprisingly, the one meal served in the AC restaurant was good.Staff: the staff was very polite and helpful and responded to our request for cleaning and service was good.Management: in view of the above, there was an absence and lack of any supervision and maintenance of hotel premises.Once booked the guests were taken for granted.

Food taste is good, value for money, staff service is top notch

I recently attended a friend's wedding at Hotel Avaante in Ahmedabad, and my experience provided a nuanced perspective on its offerings. Situated conveniently on the road, the hotel boasts good accessibility, making it easy for guests to arrive. The rooms at Hotel Avaante are commendable, offering comfort and convenience to guests. However, I found the lifts to be on the smaller side, resulting in occasional waits during peak times. Similarly, the parking situation operates on a first-come-first-serve basis, which could be a consideration for those driving to the venue. The highlight of the hotel is its small party hall, with a capacity of 100 to 120 guests comfortably. This makes it an ideal choice for intimate functions such as birthdays or engagements. However, it may not be suitable for larger gatherings due to its size limitations. When it comes to the culinary offerings, the food at Hotel Avaante was satisfactory but not exceptional. While it served its purpose adequately, it did not leave a lasting impression. Therefore, I would recommend exploring other catering options for events requiring a higher standard of cuisine. In summary, Hotel Avaante in Ahmedabad provides a decent venue for small-scale events. With comfortable rooms, a convenient location, and a suitable party hall, it serves its purpose well for occasions like birthdays and engagements. However, improvements could be made in areas such as lift capacity and parking availability. I rate it 3 out of 5 stars, acknowledging its strengths while recognizing areas for enhancement.

The hotel food was worst ever food we have ever tried They have live music in restaurants but it feels like bathrooms singer with mike.. Late service made our mood even worse
