The Shalimar Hotel

The hotel was really good, cleanliness was also great.Few minor improvements i felt was that rooms should have full size mirror and the room should have hotel footwear, toiletries essentials.It might be in other rooms, but I did not have it in mine, as my stay was very short so I did not give this feedback in-person.The good part is, the location is prime, the staff especially the guards at gate are very nice people.

I recently stayed at The Shalimar with friends and family on 2 trips to Mumbai in May + June 2026.I have to recommend this hotel for its extremely friendly, and efficient service, and excellent location. The staff are kind, and attentive. The hotel, is older, and has its quirks - but thats part of the charm. The location means rooms are on the smaller side but if you are in town for a quick work, or a medical trip, it is more than sufficient.The food is pretty good. The cute in house bakery is quite enjoyable as well.Shout out to Danita, who took excellent care of my family staying in the hotel, as I was receiving medical care nearby. I appreciated the support and treats very very much ’’??

This is a cozy hotel. Not perfect but cute and a feel at-home vibe. The breakfast is good quality and minimalistic. The staff are super welcoming and kind. The coffee shop is also a nice spot to work and meet with people. They offer unlimited water bottles which were extremely convenient. The only downside is that the hotel does not have a usable, acceptable gym and there is one elevator so expect wait times to go up and down from the lobby.

I stayed in the Hotel Shalimar for 2 weeks, the location and friendly staff have made my stay a pleasure, especially the front desk staff ( Danita and Shyan ) , they went out of there way to help me set up my " swiggy" account for food delivery and helped me get the food from the driver as my phone didn't have an Indian number which made it difficult, these guys and the door staff made it all possible.The rooms are tidy and clean and the room staff do a great job, my only issue is that the air-conditioning unit right outside my window was noisy and I had to turn it off at night to sleep, which of course made the room get hot.The breakfast buffet has some selection but not much european food and the food was cold, so only ate there once.Overall a great little hotel and location,I will be back to stay hereagain in the future.Carl, from New Zealand.
