Ariya Nivaas - A Vegetarian Hotel

Location is in Thambanoor very close to railway station and KSRTC bus stand...Rooms are neat although smallNowadays room service has been stoppedRestaurant is in the ground floor and AC Restaurant is on the 1st floor....Pure vegetarian restaurants which provide delicious foodTea kettle and other items are complimentary

Food is extremely GoodRooms are okay kindBathrooms are cramped and doesn't have any accessories inside. Needs to have a better facility.All the staffs are very courteous and soft spokenWorth a stay inspite of small discomforts

I had my dinner here, and was surprised by the quantity and price difference!I got the smallest ghee roast available in whole tvm with the most expensive rate in the whole tvm!!And vada? Who buys 35rs for a small vada which you'll get for 10-15rs everywhere in the city!!And guess what the restaurant was not even AC.I'm a trivian and I have food from alot of vegetarian hotels, but never had such a situation.I'm not actually just talking about the overpricing, but also the size of the dosa, vada and the taste which is just below average.I strongly recommend everyone to not go here, since there are many better veg restaurants at all over trivandrum.I hope this review reaches the management. Been there for lunch once, food is good. but my comment about their staffs, during my visit 1 woman has missed her brand new iphone by her mistake and searching there. The staffs are so nice, handed over the phone after verifying the right owner. I know its not a big thing since the CCTV Survilence is there, but its also very easy things to hide the mobile crowded restaurant like places, you can put it in your pocket. So, I consider this as very good conduct of the hotel staffs.Really i like this incident very much. Good staffs ’’’’

We have been going to Ariya Nivas from the days they started the restaurant in 2002-03(not regularly). Car parking facilities and all are really good now. Only thing which we didnt like in the previous visit was they give really small plates for even their special dosas. It’s quite a hassle eating them without the dosa sides touching the table, and no space for keeping the chutneys too. I can understand their strategy for making their small dosa look big in appearance with the small plate. I have been to good veg restaurants all over south India(A2B, Sangeetha, Geetham, etc in chennai and all). But never have I seen such a small plate for big dosas. Either they change their food serving model like Rameswaram cafe, where they give small benne dosa with all the sides on a small plate or maintain the premium Veg restaurant standard.
