Hotel Venkateswara

This is the hotel I always stay at whenever I come to Trivandrum. It’s a good hotel. All the staff are good people, especially the receptionist madam. She has very good behavior

The service was very nice. The staffs were good and helpful. One of the staff , his name is unni , he was very helpful and cooperative with us. I am giving 5 star to this hotel.

This is by far the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in with my family.Everything in the room was either broken, dirty, or dusty. They claim to provide hot water, but it never worked. The bathroom had broken pipes, the lamps didn’t work, the TV was dead, and overall the room felt like it hadn’t been maintained in years.Please note: the photos you see on Google are probably from their inauguration’maybe 10’20 years ago. The current condition is nowhere close.The room had very poor lighting, a constant foul smell, and the receptionist was extremely rude. When we asked for room cleaning, they casually said their ’cleaning time is over.’When I complained about the hot water issue, the receptionist literally said, ’If it’s urgent, we’ll send a bucket of hot water.’ Seriously?I stayed here with my toddler, and it was a complete nightmare.Even when I confronted the management, they had no comments and quietly accepted that everything was wrong’like they already knew the property is in terrible condition.Please avoid this hotel if you expect even basic hygiene or cleanliness.

We stayed here as a family of six for two nights and booked two non-AC rooms directly at the reception. The check-in time is flexible if you're booking in person, which was really convenient. We paid ’1,600 for one night per room.Honestly, it feels more like a 2-star hotel rather than a 3-star. The landline phone and some plug points weren’t working, and the bathroom taps had water dripping at night. The photos online look quite old ’ the place is now a bit worn out, not very well maintained, and slightly dirty. The rooms were a bit smelly, so we opened the doors and windows to let the smell go away.Hot water was not coming in one of our rooms. When we asked, the staff told us to get hot water from another area with a geyser, so since we’re a family, we managed by bringing the water in buckets and bathing in one room one after another. Before booking, please ask for a room that has hot water.There’s also a bathroom facility on the ground floor, which our car driver used to freshen up ’ that was helpful.On the positive side, the staff were nice, and Unni at the reception was especially kind and attentive. The stay is simple and affordable ’ good enough if you just need a basic place to sleep at night without expecting luxury.

I had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was peaceful. A special mention to Unni from the reception team’ he was extremely kind, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed.
