I reserved a room at Fratelli Guest House for one night at ₹3,800 and paid an advance of ₹2,500. The booking was for a Saturday. Due to an unavoidable last-minute event, I had to cancel and asked for a refund of the advance. What makes this worse is that my family is currently staying at the same guest house in an Executive Room, paying ₹6,750 per night for two nights. So, this isn't a case of us cancelling and leaving the property entirely. Despite this, when I requested to cancel my separate room and get a refund, the receptionist refused, citing their cancellation policy. I get that businesses have policies, but good hospitality also means basic customer service, discretion, and goodwill. When a guest’s family is already staying and paying ₹13,500, refusing even a reasonable refund of ₹2,500 for a cancelled room before check-in seems very rigid and short-sighted. The problem isn’t just the ₹2,500; it’s the attitude and lack of customer care. A guest house may have rules, but hiding behind them without considering the situation isn’t what I expect from hospitality. This experience has really changed my view of Fratelli Guest House. I would strongly suggest anyone booking here to carefully read the cancellation policy because there seems to be little room for understanding once the advance is paid. Very disappointing. Hospitality isn’t just about giving a room; it’s about how you treat guests when unexpected things happen. Also, you should check the room sizes for the price you pay.

The hotel is clean, with fairly comfortable rooms situated nicely on a quiet street yet close to popular spots. However, the junior staff lack training and seem clueless. Things only run smoothly when the owner or senior female staff member is present. Otherwise, they might enter a guest's room without warning or bring food but delay providing cutlery by half an hour. The walls are very thin, so every noise from the guesthouse is heard in your room. A noisy neighbor can easily ruin your sleep. Although breakfast is said to start at 8, it often isn't ready until 9, even if you notify them beforehand. Overall, the experience is a mix of positives and negatives.

A very comfortable place to stay. The host and staff were supportive, and we enjoyed our time there. The accommodation provides lovely views of the hills and features a charming garden. I would certainly like to come back :)
