Khandela Haveli - a Boutique Heritage Hotel

I spent three nights here during the new year. It was a very comfortable stay. It is quiet and best is comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. And the Mutton Biryani was very tasty too.

We stayed at Khandela Haveli from January 1st to 3rd. While the stay had its highlights, it was unfortunately overshadowed by a serious health issue caused by the hotel’s kitchen.’The Property & Service’It is important to note that this is a modern three-story hotel, not a traditional heritage Haveli as the name might suggest. Rooms were clean, tidy, and well-maintained. The staff members were a standout, consistently friendly, helpful, and courteous throughout our stay.’The Issues- Room Service & Food Poisoning’Our experience with room service was inconsistent and ultimately ruined our trip.’January 1st: Snacks arrived quickly and tasted good, though they were unfortunately served a bit cold.’January 2nd: We ordered veg cutlets and were told they would take 15’20 minutes. After 30 minutes, we called back only to be told it would be another 15 minutes.’The Food Quality: When the cutlets finally arrived, they were a disaster. The garlic flavor was completely overpowering, masking what we later realized was a significant issue with the ingredients. Because we were rushing to meet a friend, we didn't have time to complain immediately.’Shortly after eating, I developed a bad stomach and vomiting next morning. We traveled back to Delhi next day, and I am still currently suffering from severe food poisoning.’It is incredibly disappointing to start the New Year this way. While the hotel team is lovely, this part is unnegotiable. hope management investigates their kitchen standards immediately so other guests do not fall ill.

I stayed at this hotel in mid-December. The haveli is very nice and is located in Sindhi Colony, Jaipur. It is a bit far from the main City Palace and takes about 15 minutes by car to reach there.The room we had was quite spacious, as I had requested extra bed occupancy. The beds were not a single queen-size bed; instead, two single beds were joined together to make a double bed. The bathroom toiletries included a shaving kit, dental kit, shampoo, soap, and body lotion. The bathroom was clean and well maintained, with ample space for showering. There was no issue with hot water, as an electric geyser was available.they also proved additional heater as it was cold winter season.There mini refrigerator available in room with drinks to buy for.The haveli has three floors. The restaurant is located in the basement, where breakfast is served. There is also a rooftop restaurant, which is quite pleasant. Dinner was served there, and an internal lift is available to reach the top floor. The swimming pool is located right next to the rooftop restaurant. Since it was mid-December, the night temperature ranged between 14 and 16 degrees Celsius. The rooftop restaurant also provided bonfire facilities, and a bar is located there as well.Our plan was MAP, but we were still served ?? la carte dishes, including both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, along with soup and dessert. Cocktails and mocktails were slightly expensive and were charged separately.We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at the rooftop restaurant. There is no car parking available at the hotel, so our car was parked outside.The staff was very courteous and helpful. They also provided us with useful information about places to visit in Jaipur.

The rooms are average but due to lack of hot water and cleaning I went with 2 versus 3. The hot water tank is very small and requires 30 minutes to recover for the next shower. This is the real downside to the hotel.The breakfast was not a point that would improve the rating. It’s buffet was limited and many time not restocked timely causing longer waits.Generally, I think the food offering was poor given the hotel’s boutique status. The restaurant and bar has a nice area on the room. However, the service is slow and not warm. Seemed cold.I think this hotel has a lot of potential to be great. I hope management starts focusing on the small but important things to improve food and service to match the beautiful building.
