The hotel was closed when I arrived, even though it was still accepting bookings through Agoda. No prior information was provided about the closure.After I travelled a long distance and reached the property, I was told that another hotel had been arranged for me. Unfortunately, the alternative hotel was far below the standard and quality of the hotel I had originally booked.I was tired after a long journey and had no practical option at that time, so I had to check in to the alternative accommodation.This is highly unfair to customers. Accepting bookings for a closed hotel and then providing a lower-quality property only after the guest arrives is extremely misleading and unacceptable.I strongly recommend that customers confirm the hotel's operating status before making a booking. Very poor experience and a serious concern regarding customer trust.
