Top-notch food and an excellent location

The place is very dirty nowadays, and the hotel owner never respects customers. The staff spoiled our food, and the room was cold. It's really bad. This hotel should be closed due to lack of hygiene.

Had a great seafood dinner, with the Butter Fish clearly being the best! Visited Ocea International Hotel in the evening with a friend who recommended it when I mentioned craving good soup. We came initially for the Crab Meat Soup, but ended up ordering several dishes and made it a full seafood meal. Started with the Crab Meat Soup, which was comforting and exactly what I wanted. Then tried the Squid with Butter Garlic; the squid was a bit chewy and not very spicy, just okay for me. The Butter Fish with Lemon Pepper was the highlight — fresh fish, perfectly cooked, with a well-balanced masala. The lemon and pepper enhanced the fish without overpowering it, flavorful but not too spicy, every bite was enjoyable. The fish cost around ₹1,030, a bit pricey, but worth it for the quality and taste. It was the standout dish, the best of our dinner. After that, other dishes felt just average by comparison. We also had Jumbo Prawns Tandoori with six pieces; the masala was fine but the prawns didn’t quite live up to the "jumbo" name as some were smaller, so it was just okay. The Neer Dosa with Clams Ghee Roast was a nice combo; the dosa was a good side, but the clams ghee roast was again just average, nothing as memorable as the butter fish. Overall, a good seafood dinner with some hits and some average dishes, glad we came on my friend's recommendation. If I had to pick one dish to recommend, it’s definitely the Butter Fish Lemon Pepper — the standout and the king of our meal. One small thing I appreciated was when we asked for warm water, they offered jeera water as an option, which we tried and enjoyed — warm, mildly spiced, and surprisingly good with the seafood. A simple but thoughtful touch.

The experience was terrible, with cockroaches present throughout the rooms, hair on the bed sheets, and broken bathroom windows, holders, and taps. I do not recommend this place. The housekeeping staff were very friendly and kind, but the hotel overall was far from acceptable and extremely dirty.
