Solo Traveller • Sep 2026I booked Plaza Inn coimbatore for checkin at 5 am in the morning. I entered at 5.10 am and was allotted room at 5.50 am despite pleading with the reception staff that I was unwell and needed to take rest. Prabhu the new joinee at reception was inefficient. He did not know the system booking and gave me keys for the wrong room twice. I struggled up and down for 40 mins with ill health. I happen to use the key wrongly delivered to me on already occupied room which was height of embarrassment for a woman traveller. Later senior supervisor staff Prakash came and said casually that these mistakes are common and we learn from such mistakes only. He showed very cold attitude and was unapologetic for the very poor service. Rooms were neat but rest room maintenance could be improved. Food was mediocre. Prabhu needs to be trained and Prakash needs to be sacked. Terrible experience.
