As our group check-in was late (9:30pm) when we arrived at the Ranis, our rooms had been allocated to other guests and we were told at reception that our booking had gone thru from Agoda to Ranis as a 1 room booking. I argued that the payment for 5 rooms was received by Agoda a week earlier so that logic didn't hold any water. The receptionist proceeded to make temporary arrangements for my group by splitting us up and sending half the group to a nearby hotel. So, by the time all of this was sorted and settled we went to bed by 1 am making for a very bad initial experience. However, the next morning we were allocated 5 rooms and after that it was a good stay at the Ranis Grand.
