Rachana's Black Beach Resort

Our experience was well below what we expected. The hotel felt overcrowded and the rooms were poorly maintained. Discovering bedbugs near the pillow and under the bedsheet was both shocking and unacceptable. We encountered electrical issues, and instead of resolving them, the staff insisted the dim lighting was intentional as part of the room's design. However, after moving to a different room, the lighting was normal, showing that their explanation was misleading. The balcony included in our booking was unusable due to ongoing maintenance, which we were not informed about beforehand. Additionally, the constant noise from repairs made it impossible to relax. The swimming pool, located about 500 meters from the restaurant, was in very bad shape. The water had excessive chlorine, was filled with bugs, and covered with fallen leaves, clearly showing a lack of upkeep, making it unpleasant and unusable. Food quality was mediocre, and the hospitality was lacking, with little attention to guest comfort. The only positive was the stunning direct sea view from the restaurant, but one nice view does not make up for poor maintenance, hygiene issues, misleading explanations, and subpar service. In summary, the only reason to pick this hotel is the sea view; everything else requires major improvement.

They have a swimming pool about 500 meters from the restaurant, within walking distance, but it was very poorly kept. The pool water had way too much chlorine, many bugs were in the water, and it was full of fallen leaves. Overall, the pool seemed neglected. The food was just okay, and the hospitality was lacking. The only good thing was the direct sea view from the restaurant. Out of ten reasons to stay here, I'd give only one point for the sea view. Everything else was disappointing.

Terrible experience... they don't offer basic amenities such as dental kits and towels, and guests have to plead for two hours just to get water bottles. The rooms are poorly maintained, everything looks old and worn out, wooden furniture is nearly collapsing, sockets have loose connections, and there are voltage fluctuations. Customer service is very poor.

The pool clearly lacked proper upkeep. The only good aspect was the beautiful sea view from the restaurant, which is really the only reason to visit, not to stay. Overall rating: 1/10. Excellent location, tidy rooms, and a peaceful environment. I would certainly come back.
