Had a fantastic stay at the Residency Hotel Fort! The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, earning a full 5 stars. A special shoutout to the staff’the service here is top-notch; everyone was incredibly polite, professional, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome.The location in the historic Fort area is excellent and highly walkable, very close to the metro and CSMT station, making it a perfect base for exploring South Mumbai (just a minor note that the bustling commercial surroundings can get busy, but it adds to the vibrant charm). Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city!

My wife and I stayed here 9 years ago during our 3rd trip to India. We were treated as royals, and we were just backpackers. Now, during this trip, we decided to make reservations here again. We found again the same incredible friendly staff, those unique smiles and the warmth of all the good people that works here (some of them have been working here for more than 20 years). Rooms are silent, clean, cozy and fresh. Breakfasts are AWESOME and hotel’s location is unbeatable. If you are coming to Mumbai don’t waste your time and make your reservations at Residency. It’s home away from home.

I had a wonderful stay at Residency Hotel Fort, Mumbai, and it truly stands out as one of the best 3-star hotels in the city. Located in the heart of South Mumbai’s heritage district, the hotel offers excellent connectivity to major attractions like Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, Gateway of India, and Colaba, making it an ideal choice for both tourists and business travelers.The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and equipped with all essential amenities such as air conditioning, Wi-Fi, tea/coffee maker, and a minibar. While the rooms may feel slightly compact, they are thoughtfully designed for comfort and functionality. Daily housekeeping ensures a neat and hygienic environment throughout the stay.One of the biggest highlights of this hotel is the service. The staff is extremely polite, professional, and always ready to assist, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The check-in and check-out process is smooth, and the 24-hour front desk adds convenience for travelers arriving at any time.The complimentary breakfast buffet is another plus point, offering a good variety of dishes to start the day. The in-house dining options are decent, and room service is prompt and efficient.In terms of value for money, Residency Hotel Fort delivers beyond expectations. This hotel is rated a 3 star hotel but don't let that fool you. It is 5 star to me. I definitely would come back to this hotel if I am ever in Mumbai again. It doesn't have a pool or an on site fitness centre (they do have an agreement with another hotel for its gym access, some 15 minutes away). But what it lacks in the amenities, it makes up with the great staff. From check in to check out, you always felt welcomed and could always request something and they would do what they could to help you out.The breakfast was very broad, fresh and good. Eggs, waffles, fruit, breads, cereals, tea, coffee and juices. The serving staff always prepared to make sure you didn't leave hungry. Very personable.Unfortunately, I was sick most of my stay in Mumbai, (I had a stomach virus before arriving), to the point I had to go to hospital. The front desk staff made sure my needs were met and offered any assistance to make my stay more comfortable. I felt the restaurant staff and front desk staff really had a good watch over me and even making special meals for me.The hotel is very close (190 metres) to the new Aqua Line station, Hutatma Chowk with lifts, that goes directly to the airport in 36 minutes. Why deal with traffic, delays, and costs when reliable transport is so close for 70 rupees + 70 rupees for 25 kg bag, free under 25kg.The hotel is a short walk to Flora Fountain, High Court, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus.
