Sarovar Portico Srinagar

I recently stayed at the Sarovar Portico in Srinagar, and it was an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The hospitality we received went far beyond standard service; it felt like being cared for by family.We arrived much earlier than the standard time, and I was incredibly impressed by how seamless and hassle-free the check-in process was. The team handled it with such grace, allowing us to settle in and start our trip without any stress.The highlight of our stay was the staff, who consistently went above and beyond:• Mr. Munib (Front Desk): On the day of our departure, we had a very early checkout before the restaurant had even opened. Mr. Munib, who manages the front desk, personally went out of his way to make and serve tea to our room himself. This gesture is something more than just hospitality—it was genuine kindness that we will never forget.• Mr. Mudassar: His attention to detail and dedication to ensuring our comfort made a significant impact on our trip. He was always proactive and ready to help with a smile.• Mr. Nazir (Our Driver): A special mention for Mr. Nazir, who made our local travels safe and enjoyable. He wasn’t just a driver but a wonderful guide who took great care of us throughout our journeys.The Sarovar Portico Srinagar doesn't just offer rooms; they offer a heartfelt experience. If you are looking for a place where the staff truly cares about your comfort and goes the extra mile, this is it.Thank you to the entire team for making our trip so special. I had a very disappointing experience during my stay. The room maintenance was poor, with holes in the bedsheets, which is simply unacceptable for any decent hotel. The WiFi connection was highly unreliable and kept disconnecting frequently, making it difficult to work or stay connected.Despite staying for more than 5 days, there was no effort from the hotel to offer any room upgrade or added comfort. Basic services were also lacking — even refilling the tea station required multiple follow-ups, which became frustrating over time.Additionally, the breakfast was repetitive with no variation at all during my entire stay, which made it quite monotonous.Overall, the service quality and attention to guest comfort were below expectations. I would not recommend this hotel unless significant improvements are made.

Good food, good rooms, couretous staff. Overall good place for a short stay, especially, if you are looking for convenient airport connectivity.

Just a 2 to 3 km drive to the airport. Ideally located especially for an early morning flight. The buffet dinner was really good. The staff are welcoming, helpful and very professional. Will certainly come again. Thank you to all the staff for everything. Warm regards ftom Cape Town South Africa
