The LaLiT Grand Palace Srinagar Hotel

We came for an early dinner to celebrate my cousin's birthday. The food was average; the soup tasted great but was served cold. The naan bread was very good.

Truly stunning

Our time at The LaLiT Grand Palace Srinagar was truly outstanding. We stayed in the Maharani Suite and from the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the grandeur, tranquility, and stunning beauty of the hotel. The vast lawns, lush greenery, heritage architecture, well-kept rooms, and especially the incredible location by Dal Lake create an ambiance that's hard to put into words. During our visit to Srinagar, we checked out several other five-star hotels near Dal Lake, but none matched the unique blend of heritage, spaciousness, greenery, and breathtaking lake views here. The Suite was gorgeous, roomy, spotless, and meticulously maintained. The rooms preserve the palace's elegance and charm while providing all the luxury comforts expected. The food was fantastic throughout our stay, with the Kashmiri thali standing out as a highlight. We also enjoyed the iced coffees and the overall dining experience. The quality, presentation, and hospitality consistently surpassed our expectations. A special shoutout to Langli, who was a standout during our stay. He's an amazing bartender whose warmth and personality made our evenings memorable. His cocktails were superb, and his enthusiasm and attention to detail enhanced the bar experience. If you visit, be sure to spend time at the bar and greet Langli! We also appreciated the historical tour of the palace with Syed, which added great depth to our visit. Syed made the history engaging and helped us appreciate the heritage beyond the palace's beauty. Our chauffeurs, Latif ji and Irshad ji, were another wonderful part of our experience. They were kind, polite, patient, and accommodating, making our Kashmir explorations easy and enjoyable. The food and beverage team deserves high praise as well. Deshraj, Ashrat, Mehwish, and Akanksha were all warm, attentive, and gracious. Ashrat and Akanksha, in particular, were very sweet and helpful, and the whole team made us feel welcome and cared for. We also want to mention Amaan, Joseph, Mutaki, and Anil, whose kindness and support made our stay comfortable. A special thanks to Sudarshan ji, the chef, whose skill was evident in the wonderful meals we enjoyed. The food was a highlight, and the care and quality were deeply appreciated. Roni from housekeeping was lovely too. Imran, our main coordinator, deserves a heartfelt thank you for ensuring everything ran smoothly and that we were comfortable throughout. His coordination made the experience seamless. Prashant Ji, the General Manager, also deserves recognition for maintaining such a large heritage property while delivering attentive hospitality—a remarkable achievement. We also experienced the spa, which was exactly what we needed after days of exploring Kashmir. The treatments were deeply relaxing and left us feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. What impressed us most was the people—from the chefs and F&B team to housekeeping, chauffeurs, coordinators, and management, everyone contributed to making our stay special. We left feeling that we hadn't just stayed at a hotel but had experienced a piece of Kashmir's history, hospitality, and soul. Without a doubt, this is one of the best places to stay in Kashmir. We absolutely loved it and would return in a heartbeat.

The wazwan thali at Chinars veg is the most delicious wazwan I've ever tried! Truly amazing!
