Clean but very dull. Even the restaurant is outsourced. Okay to stay overnight with no expectations. Rooms were clean and good. Split AC not centrally AC

The hotel features spacious rooms, impeccable cleanliness, and a friendly staff that's both polite and supportive. Its prime location adds to its appeal, and the food is delicious

I had a very bitter experience at Serenity by Monarch, Pune Hotel. My travel was pre-planned, and I booked the rooms more than a month in advance through the hotel’s website. Even before booking, I had several conversations with the front desk executives over telephone, WhatsApp, and email. At that time, their communication was very courteous, and they assured me, ’Just come, we will take care of everything and you will not feel uncomfortable.’ Trusting their words, I booked the rooms by paying 100% in advance through their website’which I now feel was a mistake. Unfortunately, my stay turned out to be full of problems and inconveniences:At the time of booking, I specifically requested park-facing rooms and not rooms facing the building. However, despite availability, I was not given park-facing rooms.The hospitality of the reception staff was poor. They seemed disinterested in the guests and were more engaged with their computers.We were three guests, but only one large towel was provided. Even after repeated requests, no additional towels were given. On the second day, after housekeeping, the only towel was removed, and it took nearly two hours to get another one. Small towels were not available at all.On the second day, when we returned around 2 PM, the lunch service was already closed. The receptionist asked us to order food online. When the Swiggy delivery arrived, the food was handed over at the reception, and we were told it would be sent to our room. After waiting for an hour, I had to go down myself to collect it.The dining hall and food quality were good. However, the staff constantly insisted on serving food in the room. The problem was that there was no dining table or proper chairs inside the room. The balcony only had two dirty plastic chairs and a plastic table. Moreover, no spoons or glasses for drinking water were provided in the room.Waste food and plates were kept always in the staircase area. Lift is sufficient only for 2 persons.Overall, my experience was extremely disappointing. I will not book this hotel again, nor will I recommend it to anyone. This is especially important since many parents, including myself, frequently visit Pune for our children studying at Symbiosis.
