It was a good time at this place. Staff was cooperative, food & cleanliness was perfect.
My experience at Monarch Hotel was very disappointing. During our two-day visit, there was no water supply for over half a day, which caused significant inconvenience. Additionally, room service was very slow, with even simple requests like bottled water taking an unreasonable amount of time. After my stay, the hotel directed me to contact Agoda about these problems, but Agoda informed me that such issues must be handled directly with the hotel. I then emailed the hotel asking for a partial refund due to the inconvenience. The hotel replied that since the booking was through a third party, refunds must be processed via Agoda. They did acknowledge the problem and agreed to refund half a day's stay, but said it would only happen after Agoda coordinated with them. Agoda tried multiple times to reach the hotel to arrange the refund, but the hotel did not respond. Consequently, the refund is still unresolved. I hope the hotel management improves both guest services and how they handle customer complaints.

Solo Traveller • Jul 2026Very bad experience.the room handed over was unclean as the earlier guest had spilled coffee below the bed which was not cleaned . After finishing dinner thenplayes were kept in the lobby until the next morning .washrooms were not cleaned properly. Towels provided were torn.Used plates were lying on the stairs overnight.arrangements on the breakfast were not done properly as we had to ask for each and everything to the waiters however , the food taste was good.
