Couple • India • Aug 2026I had a very disappointing experience with Sayaji Hotel.When I personally visited the hotel to make a booking, I was told by the staff that the hotel was completely full and that no rooms were available.However, immediately after stepping outside the hotel, I checked online and found rooms available for the same hotel on Agoda and MakeMyTrip. I booked a room through Agoda, and the booking was confirmed.When I went back inside the hotel and showed them my confirmed booking, I was initially told that the booking had not been received and was asked to wait for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, I was again told that the hotel was full and that my booking might not have been confirmed.Only after I contacted Agoda customer support did the hotel staff finally confirm that my booking was actually valid.Another thing that made me uncomfortable was that I felt I was being judged by the hotel staff based on my dressing and appearance. I cannot say for certain what their intention was, but the way I was treated gave me that impression. As a customer, I believe everyone should be treated with the same respect, regardless of their clothes or appearance.Overall, the entire experience was extremely inconvenient and frustrating. The communication from the hotel staff was confusing, and I had to contact the booking platform myself to get the issue resolved.I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves both customer service and coordination between online bookings and the front desk. Every customer deserves to be treated with respect and professionalism.
