The stay was good but the service was not that good.

Food quality is extremely poor with no flavor... stale dishes... the taste doesn't even compare to street food stalls... today we got stale breakfast, not fresh poha.

I truly enjoyed the property and the rooms. The hotel is beautiful, comfortable, and lives up to the Hyatt name. Sadly, the service did not meet the same standard. The staff, especially at the front desk and guest services, seemed poorly trained, which in hospitality often comes off as rude. At check-in, I was told I was upgraded to a "Club Room," and naturally thought that included Club Lounge access, especially since I was explicitly told it did. However, when my key card didn’t work, I asked about it and was bluntly told it was a "miscommunication," with no ownership or proper apology, just a casual "sorry," and no explanation. I then tried to find out exactly what my upgrade included, but was bounced between front desk and guest services, each telling me to speak to the other. There was no clarity, accountability, or hospitality. To be clear, I wasn’t demanding lounge access; if I hadn’t been told about it, I wouldn’t have expected it. But if you tell a guest they’re upgraded, you should clearly explain what that means. After I raised my concerns, Rajeev, the director of operations, handled things professionally and upgraded me to a better room, for which I’m thankful. But I never had a problem with my original room; the issue was the service. In fact, the upgraded room included lounge access, but my husband and I chose not to use it, instead dining at the hotel’s restaurant and bar both days. The staff’s attitude left a lasting negative impression on an otherwise nice stay celebrating my husband’s birthday. I avoided front desk interactions because they felt unpleasant, and I even got a call after the first day asking when I’d check out, even though my booking was clearly for two days. Out of curiosity, I read Google reviews and saw the property gets great praise, but many complaints about the front-facing staff. Unfortunately, the poor service continued at checkout. The porter who came to collect our luggage saw me at the reception finishing checkout but still asked if I had checked out. Later, when my husband gave him the car tag to bring our vehicle around, he refused and told my husband to do it himself. I understand hotels have procedures to ensure guests settle bills, but we had insisted on paying in full at check-in, even after being told we could pay later. We’re also Hyatt members and booked directly, not through a third party. I noticed this wasn’t isolated; the same porter questioned another guest with luggage about whether she was checking out, making her explain herself. If the goal is to verify checkout status, there are more discreet, professional ways—coordinate with reception like housekeeping does. There’s no reason to make paying guests feel questioned. Finally, thanks to the front desk and guest services teams for their consistently unsmiling, unwelcoming attitude and poor guest handling. They left a bad impression that overshadowed an otherwise lovely stay. I’ve stayed at many places, and this property stands out for rude staff. In summary, the hotel itself is wonderful, but it has a serious problem with its people. Based on my experience and many similar reviews, this is not isolated and management should urgently address it.

I had an outstanding experience at Hyatt Regency Pune! The rooms were spotless and very cozy, offering an ideal place to relax. The staff delivered excellent service, always making sure my stay was enjoyable. The hotel's location is great, very convenient for sightseeing. I strongly suggest staying here!
