TAKHT- Executive Rooms & Suites

I recently reserved a king suite with a spa at The Takht Hotel (KSB Chowk, Chinchwad) for an anniversary weekend with my husband. Since it was a special event, I spent ₹5,500 (discounted from about ₹7,000) choosing this hotel recommended by Google among the top hotels in PCMC because I wanted a room with a bathtub. Before booking, I explicitly informed the hotel that having a bathtub was the main reason for my stay. The property itself is nice, and I appreciate the staff, housekeeping, and manager/owner. Everyone was very polite, soft-spoken, and well-mannered during our interactions. However, the service failure completely spoiled our experience. From 11:00 PM, there was no hot water in the bathtub. I spent two hours calling reception and housekeeping until 1:00 AM. The excuses about rain and the solar/boiler system are unacceptable for a luxury suite charging these prices. We couldn't sleep until 3:00 AM due to this, plus mosquitoes, and even the next morning at 10:00 AM, there was still no hot water in the tub. Our entire anniversary night was ruined. When I complained, the manager politely offered a discount on a "next visit," but after such a disappointing first stay, we have no plans to return, so that offer is useless. At check-out, they admitted the failure and promised a ₹1,500 refund. However, ₹1,500 is a very small compensation for a ₹5,500 stay where the main amenity was unusable! I could have booked a standard room elsewhere for ₹2,000, but I paid ₹5,500 for an experience I never got. Our anniversary night was ruined, we lost sleep, and the money was wasted. While the property and staff are nice, management must ensure basic luxury amenities work regardless of weather. Very disappointing.

The service was very poor. I encountered electricity problems. I advise against booking this hotel.

The food was terrible.

Cockroaches are seen running in most of the rooms.
